About Lantern of Worlds
Lantern of Worlds is a computer game based on European and Arabian mythology and fairytales. It is inspired by older games like the Quest for Glory series, Eye of the Beholder and Lands of Lore.
In Lantern of Worlds you are one of the royal adventurers of king Valdemar of Idunia. You are send on a diplomatic mission to the courts of Sultan Mehmet the Magnificent.
On your way there, however, dark forces plot your undoing, and you are left in the middle of the ocean, in a small lifeboat, with nothing but your wits and your determination to survive.
Luckily, you spot an island in the distance...a desert island, where many adventures await you!
But during during your adventures, you will find that great events have been set in motion, and that you have a grand role to play in the undoing, or salvation, of the kingdom of Idunia, and indeed, the world!
6 different voice-actors! Various random locations & encounters! More than 40 different stories!
Lantern of Worlds is the first of what will be a series of games, each based on a different world mythology. Start on an epic journey that will take you to faraway lands, enchanted islands, castles in the clouds, and places of such beauty and wonder that defy imagining!
Who knows where you will end up, and what great adventures will await you!

Pretty unique, interesting and well waved game. You won't find any such game (well, there are games from same dev following similar path or alternate story lines / alternate universes) Game is story driven and pretty much entertaining and enriching. RPG system is straightforward. You gain Ability point, that you distribute among your basic stats, plus you can choose skills, based on your main character (Warrior, Wizard, Rogue) You can save anytime (and you should save as often as possible)5 found this helpful

RPG Maker strikes again! "Lantern of Worlds" is one of hundreds of low effort retro RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality assets (notably most of the assets here seem to be custom instead of just copy + pasted RPG Maker stock assets... but they're still very low quality) coupled with a cringeworthy high school fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware, the game features extremely low quality 2D retro pixel art (original or not), looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. Квесты цепляют сюжетом, а визуальная составляющая напоминает живопись. Однако сложность управления и некоторые технические сбобы могут оттолкнуть новичков. Для любителей глубокого погружения — отличный выбор.
Great so far (just got to chapter 3). I'm looking forward to checking out other games by this dev.
