Lantern of Worlds

Poorly optimized. Takes forever to load and then crashes randomly time after time. Maybe it's a good game but I'll never know. To the trash bin.

You won't find any such game (well, there are games from same dev following similar path or alternate story lines / alternate universes) Game is story driven and pretty much entertaining and enriching. RPG system is straightforward. You gain Ability point, that you distribute among your basic stats, plus you can choose skills, based on your main character (Warrior, Wizard, Rogue) You can save anytime (and you should save as often as possible)

RPG Maker strikes again! "Lantern of Worlds" is one of hundreds of low effort retro RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality assets (notably most of the assets here seem to be custom instead of just copy + pasted RPG Maker stock assets... but they're still very low quality) coupled with a cringeworthy high school fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware, the game features extremely low quality 2D retro pixel art (original or not), looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. Игра "Lantern of Worlds" — это атмосферный фэнтези-экшен с элементами науки и магии. Открытый мир поражает детализацией и разнообразием локаций, а боевая система сочетает динамику и стратегию. Квесты цепляют сюжетом, а визуальная составляющая напоминает живопись. Однако сложность управления и некоторые технические сбобы могут оттолкнуть новичков. Для любителей глубокого погружения — отличный выбор.

Great so far (just got to chapter 3). I'm looking forward to checking out other games by this dev.
