About Last Days Of Tascaria

An evil sorceress has awaken an undead army and you are the only one that can stop it. Last days of Tascaria is a roguelike RPG set in the fantasy world of Tascaria.
Your choices will change how factions react, will alter encounters and will decide the ending that you get. It uses a realtime pausable combat system with multiple elements that add depth, like morale, positioning, combos...

Morale

When you kill enough enemies in a fight the rest will run away. Can't you defeat that heavily armoured ogre? Don't worry, kill the goblins and the ogre is gone.

Choose your own adventure with 6 different endings

Depending on your choices both the story and the reaction of the factions will change.

Deep real time pausable combat

Pause whenever you want during combat, give orders to your heroes, take your time to think your next move and coordinate the actions of your characters. Flank enemies for extra damage while avoiding being flanked, use shields to block frontal attacks, and much more.

Combos and armour types

Some abilities and effects can be combined together to produce a stronger effect. For example: Use cold on soaked enemies and they will freeze. Wind on burning enemies will increase the burning. There are 3 different armour types, and you need to adapt your gameplay and equipment to face different enemies.

Karma

Instead of random results for encounters, you are equipped with Karma tokens. Use the good ones, and everything will be fine, but in the end you will use all of them, therefore you can't always win.

Enviromental hazards

In some combats you need to worry not only about the enemy, but also about the environment. Fire, lava, falling rocks, water pools... Be careful with them and use them to your advantage.

Permadeath

If all your heroes die, that's it. But you can recruit more heroes to make your group stronger.

Replayability

Procedurally generated regions, different sides of the same story, varied unlockable heroes, weapons and abilities keep the game interesting on subsequent runs.

I couldnt find much to like about this game. Its billed as a real-time-with-pause strategy RPG but the end result is... not so much. The graphics are cartoony and uninspired, animations are choppy and bizarre. Its entirely possible to have a great looking game despite minimal animation (ie Darkest Dungeon). Dialogue is bare bones and extremely simple, though this is in part due to non-native English speaking devs. Each location is a simple screen with an interaction and/or combat- so there is really not much to explore. Character development is pretty much nonexistant. You can only customize minally through gear and assigning a few skill points. Combat is from a sideview, rather than isometric or top down, which makes combat awkward- its hard to tell how you're aligned with enemies and if you're giving up flanking. Ultimately I guess this would be ok as a mobile game, but theres not much incentive to play on PC- theres just many other, better games out there.

Very nice game. I like the "chasing army" system, where you must choose what to explore instead of going through everything. The real time combat with pause is nice as it can almost be played like either RTS or turn based combat game, depending on your preference. Here is some gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05wem2MlC5o

Game crashes in tutorial constantly. Text appear outside of text boxes. Some images have weird outlines around them. Fastes refund I ever made.

Without the bugs and odd, cheap interface design decisions, this would be an easy 8/10.

This is a really fun game that resembles the Heroes of Might and Magic games but with more of an emphasis on RPG elements and a choose your own adventure approach to navigating the world. The overall approach is simple, but effective and provides great replay value.

Unresponsive controls when clicking on a character i either can't select them or they don't do the action i told them to do such as cast a spell. Its as if am clicking on an empty space instead of a interface button. This becomes a problem when moving my characters during combat where my magic users just keep on charging headlong into a group of giant orcs as i click on another part of map for them to move but due to unresponsive controls they end up marching to their death. Similar issues happen when leveling up characters or selecting items in the inventory where i have to click multiple times where i usually never am able to get the game to do the selected action. To be asking for $19.99 plus tax for such a shoddy product is pretty lame. Sadly the game is just not worth the hassle.
