✦ AI summary

Players appreciate Last Epoch as a polished, accessible alternative to Path of Exile, praising its smooth gameplay, visual quality, and engaging build creation system, particularly for casual players seeking a less time-intensive ARPG experience. The main criticism centers on the game feeling incomplete despite multiple seasons, with concerns about the scope and polish of endgame content relative to its official release status.

They just gave up. Endgame is the most boring shi ever. They refuse to add any real substance.

I came to this game as a casual from Path of exile 1 and felt at home at the same time as I got a good dose of novelty. Let me explain. For a lot of concepts, I could see a direct inspiration from path of exile: monster in essence, cyclone like skill, ascendency, etc. Where they differ is how they are used in the game. For example, skills in Last Epoch are class specific unlike Path of exile where they are items. Skills have their own skill trees instead of having support gems. And so on. The initial idea is the same, but implementation is different. This makes the game very approachable for people who already know the genre. On another note, I think Last Epoch is much easier to pick up as a new player than path of exile. There are a lot of skill trees, but they are much smaller than Path of exile which makes them less daunting to learn. There are also some built in tools that are helpful to new players like the item filter. On a last note, I was let down by Path of exile 2 that I found too slow and hard for me. Last Epoch is where I found myself to get a second option in the ARPG genre.

meh its not grand its more like build this and play it... its like a study project that takes more time to build then play it would be a million times better if u have auto respec with skills too and didnt have get ur skills back up and u just pay a fee or something the skills are good and its fun but making a build in last epoch is the core of the game and id rather learn skills and how to play them the way i like without having to re lvl my skills i strongly suggest making respecing skills more like diablo 3.. way more ppl will play into the season and my whole chareter page is just full of unfinished build because i want to switch and try diffrent skills and i have almost 500 hrs.. less like poe much much more less like poe. more twards skills and items changing skills and change it how u have to lvl up skills after u despecialize.

Its 7 years after the release and the game still have the same problems like the day 1. Poorly optimized game. 0 incentive for multiplayer and 0 multiplayer content. A completely toxic playerbase. Few players still engage with the online mode. You get heavy penalized for trading items with the few players who are still active. All new contents will be released as paid DLC. The game has been sold, and the new company will only make it worse over time. 1 "update" for year. Feedback and requests are useless, if you get some bug or error in your game, this will not be fixed. The game is fine for casual play or if you have friends to play with casually, you'll play it for the campaign experience and to complete late-game content, but that’s about it. The in-game chat is dead, few people still play online and no one teams up for anything because there is no multiplayer content or reason to play multiplayer, you can't find help even if you go to the official Discord. So, In its current state, I would only recommend it if it were free-to-play; the game itself is good, but it doesn't compare to others on the market like Path of Exile, Diablo, Grim Dawn, etc. The game was …

Last Epoch, is a really good looking game with nice visual effects to spells and very smooth combat and mechanics. The general premise of the game is a little confusing with no real idea of what is going on or what your end goal is, for me this is a little annoying and was the thing I disliked the most about Path of Exile, but here it does not cause too many problems because the game is so much fun to play. Skills are really good, although I have so far only played the Primalist / Druid so I cannot really comment on the other classes within the game. The melee character does not feel underwhelming for a change and genuinely feels fun to play. The maps are VERY linear, there is no open world adventuring here that you will find in Diablo or Path of Exile, but which may be a little bit disappointing for some, for me however this is not too much of a problem. Overall I think this is a really well crafted and fun game to play and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good ARPG.
