Last Half of Darkness

I have played Shadows of the Servants, Beyond the Spirit's Eye, Tomb of Zojir, Society of the Serpent Moon, and now this. At some point I'd also like to play the first games. The most popular review on this page is also the absolute worst. The guy who left the review barely played it and for anyone who is not familiar, he is a somewhat popular youtuber who mainly does reviews on old fps games. He shows utterly no aptitude for puzzle or adventure games. He claims to have quit basically at the first puzzle and complains about having to look for items. No duh. Have you ever played an adventure game before? Searching for items in every nook and cranny is one of the cornerstones of the genre. He also complains about the assets being subpar. I noticed that on the gun model in the game there are some inverted normals and it looks like a bad 3d scan, but bear in mind that this is basically made by one person. I hope that people can be forgiving on such shortcoming due to this crucial factor. Basically the popular reviewer just rushed through a small part of the game and seemingly was expecting a fps game. I enjoyed this. yes it's made with free assets, I've bought dozens of games that have the same environments but this is what it looks like when it's done well. I really enjoyed this. I did get it on sale at about $7, it's worth more than that. Yes the puzzles where you can only move one at a time and switch is annoying but it's minor. I enjoyed the music, I enjoyed figuring out what item works for what.

I got asked to try this game out, and that i did! and i dont regret it. The game had some flaws at the beginning but it's a good game in genereal! and since i got the game there's been alot of updates! wich is a huge plus since i thought the Devs were gona leave the game once released, but they are fixing stuf still! Kudos for them! with this said, if you like a eerie vibe and some puzzles here and there, get this game! support em to make even better games!

Man I played this as a kid. 5 minutes in and I'm already getting goosebumps. 2 hours in, and I start remembering the twins...... now I'm looking for them at every corner. Creepy little freaks. I also remember getting stuck after using the axe and trying to water the stumpy neck cause I wasn't sure what to do next. Can't wait to try it again.

Fun game and as expected by the autor previous works.

Highly recommended ...for the right person. The best way I can describe this game is similar to an old point and click adventure BUT updated to a modern platform in full 3D.... with a little bit of FPS into the mix. Don't be expecting a common FPS, there's no CoD 360 no-scope'ing going on here. It's not an action-packed shooter. It's not an RGP with a million different stats to choose which to level up either. It's a good old fashioned adventure game. With modern tech. And I love it. I'm really glad the developer took the plunge to transform it into an interactive fully 3D world, it is so worthwhile. Now I just need someone to do the same with Monkey Island and my life would be complete 😂 It is clearly an indie game, it has a few lack of refinements (like redefining keys is a bit hit and miss, the ones you do define don't change the tooltip, and it forgets my FOV every time i load a new part of the map). But there's also a charm in slightly unpolished indie titles too. You don't feel that cookie-cutter yet another remake feeling that you get from the big brands.
