Last Rites

This one I actually enjoyed compared to the other older games I had played recently. Don't get me wrong, This is still outdated but the running and gunning is fun enough.

Last Rites, originally developed by Ocean Software and later republished on Steam by Ziggurat Interactive, stands as a late-1990s first-person shooter that embodies both the ambition and rough edges of its era. I like the graphics style and feel of the game but the controls are nasty and I really couldn't understand the map very well. On top of that, something went wrong with the loading process and it was a really small window.

The only passable thing about this are the nice looking sprites and decent music, yet the graphics are subpar for 1997. There's not much to be giddy about, because the levels are ass and so is the gameplay. The mall and that giant warehouse are the most outstandingly harrowing maps of the set. There's no automap so it's certain you'll be lost hunting for switches without knowing what they do. The flashlight has a limited battery so you can enjoy the gray corridors in total darkness. Play this only as a punishment for yourself.

First time I tried it, I loved it it was cool. Second time, it froze every 2 seconds, the audio was all glitchy and it was totally unplayable.
