Only when your feet touch the bottom of the swapm you can push off and swim to the surface. The game's protagonist is a young man named Jay. Jay has reached the ultimate level of despair and self-hatred. With nowhere lower to go except into the damp earth, he decides to push off the bottom and try to escape the swamp of his own subconscious. His main weapons are his own willpower and his beloved Sony Walkman.
