Not Bad Spooky Horror Mystery Game Only Some Puzzles Was Too Hard But Overall It's Actually Great For Small Indie Game Only The Performance In Some Places Is Really Bad And At The Beginning The Textures Flickered But Overall Awesome Spooky Game1 found this helpful
Left Alone is not a good game. The textures blur terribly during movement, though this is less obvious at night when most of the game is played, there's no option for rebinding keys, which is just lazy, the puzzles are both simple and yet oddly frustrating towards the end of the game, and certain scripted sequences last an absurdly long time, so bloody long that you end up searching the room you're stuck in over and over looking for whatever it is you missed. You didn't miss anything, the devs just don't know that even 30 seconds of nothing feels like an eternity, and they drag it out to several minutes instead. But the play time is short and the story, once you put all the pieces together, is fairly interesting, and sometimes all you want are simple puzzles, a creepy atmosphere, and a fairly interesting story to tie it all together without wasting too much of your time.1 found this helpful
Really enjoyed this and I’m looking forward to the Rebirth version. If it has more of the Adventure Kit the dev made, I know it’s going to be great. Also, the Adventure Kit itself is genuinely really good—if you make games solo, professionally, or even just as a hobby, I’d definitely recommend checking out this developer’s kits. A few small bugs here and there, but nothing that affected gameplay for me at all.1 found this helpful
5-25-26 good game. creepy atmosphere, and scary gameplay. concept is good and fun ideas. Could not build the fireplace for some reason? overall good. best birds sounds I've heard in a long time. Birds songs sound good and don't bother you like other games. would like option to separate FX from music but hey good game anyways.1 found this helpful
Left Alone
Genre: Horror / Psychological Perspective: 1st Person Rating: ⭐⭐⭐🔹🔹 💙Summary (TLDR): It's a rather short horror game that's more like a walking simulator but I quite enjoyed it. The atmosphere is dreadful and the story actually has a nice twist! It’s perfect for a lazy evening in the dark for a few hours of spookiness!
The Positives

The atmosphere was quite nice! The surroundings, the choice of lighting and certain sound effects gave the game wonderfully gloomy and creepy vibes!
Talking about vibes, the game also managed to constantly give you the impression something was there, stalking you and lurking around the corners which was very immersive making you sympathize with Joel's uneasiness and fear.
I'm not going to spoil but this game actually has an ending that you don't really expect. Like all the ways this could've gone, I wasn't really expecting for it to go down that specific route. (Very similar actually to a specific other horror classic set in an asylum!)

The "Not So Goods"

I know I just said the twist was nice but the ending overall was unsatisfying…1 found this helpful
