Light Fairytale Episode 2, developed and published by miyu.works, continues its retro-inspired role-playing journey by expanding the story, world-building, and emotional depth introduced in the previous chapter. Built as the second installment in an episodic RPG series inspired by classic Japanese role-playing games from earlier gaming generations, it combines turn-based combat, exploration, character-driven storytelling, and science-fiction themes into a focused experience that balances nostalgia with modern design sensibilities. Rather than existing as an isolated adventure, this installment feels designed as a continuation for players already invested in the larger mystery surrounding its underground world. Players continue following Haru and his companions as they move deeper into dangerous territory while searching for answer…2 found this helpful
Story is not the greatest aspect of this game, this jrpg looks interesting and is fun little game to play. Level transition is not the smoothest when you switch arias, but it is bearable an all in all this is simple indie game. Has around 3.5h of gameplay.2 found this helpful
Okay, by all means good game but oh my god the ending felt like a climax that you just get nothing out of- ALL of the work and none of the payoff. What WAS that? I hope part 3 isn't that jarring.2 found this helpful
It's very short, but enjoyable. Seems like the systems in the game aren't fully realized, but for being a bite sized RPG? It's worth playing (provided you like turn based RPGs). Looking forward to EP 3 this year.1 found this helpful
x-- 7/10 --x A really well made and simple RPG. Loved the inspiration and little easter eggs.
A surprising development from the first game, it keeps getting better.
