Was hoping this would be an improvement from the dev's other game, Detective Girl in the Steam City, but it's even worse. Dull and repetitive gameplay revolving around doing nothing but crafting quests for everyone in town, boring characters, the things that are supposed to sort of be challenging are made mute cause you can break the game by putting on a YouTube video and mashing A to keep working at the bar till you're more rich than Elon Musk. I get goon games aren't trying to be great games, but can you at least be decent?

Liz ~The Tower and the Grimoire is an alright H-Game. It can be fully completed in 5-6 hours. The main characters Liz and her master Aisha are cute. The CG's overall are good but could have offered more variations, and there is too few Aisha scenes in my opinion. I think the most frustrating part for me was the grind aspect of the game, gathering item for the villagers, and the pass point system to access the different parts of the town. It becomes a bit annoying to rewatch the same scenes over and over again just to reach another level of corruption or to reach the desired number of points for the next pass. Helping the villagers in the city with their item request is not the most fun thing to do in the game. Each Villager will have three item requests, and you will have to remember the item they want and their location because there is no way to track ingame your progression with the villagers requests. The dungeon part of the game could have been implemented better, it's not very engaging or fun since you just walk around continuously losing HP & MP and instakilling every monster you touch. Looting items from the maze like corridors of the dungeon to get special items drops w…

Awkward resolution from an older version of RPGM and some grindy mechanics ...are the only issues I have with this game The story is fun but non-intrusive, the art is beautiful, the characters are fun, and the developer is bold and creative enough to try completely new gameplay every single time, and I can't help myself but commend them for it.

If this was a free game on itch, I'd be inclined to give it a pass, but since it asks for quite a bit of money, I just can't recommend it. The map design is god-awful, the "scenes" I've seen so far are boring and the whole gameplay loop seems to be nothing but a boring grindfest. There's not even a quest log or anything and the story and characters are as bland as a white wall. Maybe it gets better at the end, but I wouldn't bet on it.

An excellent game with a very good art design, interesting story and simple gameplay, you'll probably get 6 hours of total gameplay if you're a perfectionist, though you can avoid finishing all item requests and get all content available easily. Definitely recommend!
