About Lorenzo il Magnifico
Florence, the cradle of Italian Renaissance. The city is experiencing an unprecedented economic and cultural flourishing: will your family prevail and control the city?
Lorenzo il Magnifico is a worker placement game, using three dice value to determine the strength of player’s workers.
Each game runs for three eras, and each era runs for two rounds.
During each round, you will move your family members through the narrow streets of Florence to acquire new territories, buildings and heroes, to complete quests or to work in your domains and gain resources. Send them to visit the Market in order to acquire coins, servants, military power or privileges from the city council.
But your clever plan could be screwed up by the Pope!
Each player must pay the required amount of Faith in order to avoid excommunication… or pay a terrible price!
After the sixth round, player tally their victory points and the winner will be the Signore di Firenze!

This has always been one of my favorite board games, and this is a good implementation of the board game, but there are still (as of 2025) a lot of bugs. There are still a number of cards and powers that do not activate correctly. Bonuses are not always given and discounts from cards are not always applied correctly. Given the tightness of the game, it is disappointing to work toward getting certain card and leaders that give special powers/bonuses/discounts and then see them not working for the rest of the game.1 found this helpful
Got this after trying Barrage from same Publisher. Really good game. Doesn't have online vs/pvp but fun to smash the AI if I didn't get enough gaming when we play our daily family board game. A really well designed board game developed into a very well put together PC game. If the AI freezes post playing the tutorial just restart and everything will work great from there.1 found this helpful

WOW.... everyone was right, the UI is hot garbage. The only reason you'd buy this, is if you know the game REALLY WELL, and you want to play against an AI. A lot of really bad choices in representing components in the game. For some reason they thought it was a good idea to make resources like wood, stone, and faith, which already have a well established shape and icon.... and turn them into different colored cubes.. cubes that look like dice. It took me several minutes of "why the hell are there dice everywhere" to realize they are different resources. So sure, now I know, but I kinda hate it as well. Now the board is vertical so I get you need redesign for a horizontal interface, but also bad choices here. The faith track is completely seprated from excommunication tiles, so its not clear where you need to be on the faith tack to not get punished. There is a reason they are next to each other in the board game. There are also a variety of just poor interface choices. The game has a bunch of flashy graphics that distract from the buttons and things you actually need to interact with to play the game. Id dial back on that stuff, how the resources look honestly. Horrid UI, The devs should just scrap everything and start again.
Unfortunately, the UI is really bad and introduces an entirely new design language that's not intuitive learn or reference even after learning. This is such a shame because I want to play more digitally.
