Have you ever wanted to experience a threesome? I know what you’re thinking so I advise you to get your mind out of the gutter. That’s not the type of threesome I am talking about. Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to control three characters simultaneously? That’s the threesome I am talking about. That’s the concept of Lost Bros, the Steam debut of developer Wheat Muffin Games. It’s an interesting concept that is full of deranged little challenges and awkward gameplay even for those of you who are highly coordinated in the utilization of a video game controller. You’ll definitely want one of those as no matter how playable the game actually is with a keyboard the game was designed to be best played with a controller. Great concept with pretty thorough execution. Good pixel graphics and cool enough soundtrack. I love the fact that they’ve integrated their game into Steamworks all the way through including leaderboards for speed run times, trading cards and achievements. Good value at $4.99. The downside is that if you’re not up for a challenge with the occasional rage inducing quit then you’re going to want to avoid this bad boy as it’s not for you and sadly that’s where…14 found this helpful
Disclaimer, I know the solo developer for this game, so I was extra patient when starting out. It's incredible to me that he made this all by himself, art, music, design, programming. Tons of time and effort put into this project, not as another mobile ripoff to make money, but as something actually creative, innovative, new, and fun. Knowing all that made it worth my time to stick with it long enough to develop the skills needed to enjoy playing. So I've managed to get 4 out of the 9 orbs so far, and I'm finally starting to believe I can beat this game eventually. As others have said, the game is very challenging, but it's mostly about learning new skills. We've all played a million platformers. When we start a new one we don't have to learn how to play. This game is different. Watch someone play a normal platformer who has never played one before. They will almost certainly get frustrated at first. That's how this game is, but for everyone. Now, stick with the game for a couple hours and you'll start to learn new ways to hold the controller, new ways to approach puzzles and enemies, etc. Best of all, once you manage to get past that awful unfair impossible puzzle...you'll fi…7 found this helpful

A love letter to Lost Vikings. The gameplay/puzzles seem good enough, but first the game is really ugly, and second (and most importantly) this control scheme is taken straight from hell. To me this is a potentially decent but ugly game I couldn,t get into. If you were a huge fan of Lost Vikings or puzzle games of the genre, maybe this is for you.4 found this helpful
Lost Bros, developed and published by Wheat Muffin Games, is a deliberately challenging indie puzzle-platformer that builds its entire identity around one defining idea: controlling multiple characters simultaneously. While its retro-inspired pixel presentation may initially suggest something simple and nostalgic, the actual experience is far more demanding, asking players to juggle coordination, timing, and spatial awareness in ways that quickly separate it from more conventional platformers. At the heart of the game is its three-character control system, where players must guide a trio—each with distinct abilities—through a series of obstacle-filled levels. Rather than switching between characters, all three move at once, forcing players to think in parallel rather than sequentially. This design transforms even the most basic actions into layered challenges. A jump is no longer just a jump; it becomes a calculation involving positioning, timing, and how each character’s role interacts with the environment. One might need to block hazards, another to attack enemies, and the third to navigate terrain, all within the same moment. The result is a gameplay loop that feels more like s…1 found this helpful
Although it is technically possible to play this game single player with one controller (and I did), I strongly recommend you play it with three controllers and three players. If you want a challenge, play with two controllers and two players, and have the more skilled player control two bros at once (I suggest the two that move using the thumbsticks). A great deal of effort and passion clearly went into this game, and there's fun to be had in working together with two other people to get the bros through its myriad challenges and gameplay styles.
