About DeafBlind
Sensory Deprivation
DeafBlind is a really cool game that takes you to a place where you can't see or hear anything. It's like nothing else out there because it tries to show you what it's like to be both deaf and blind. It's all about diving deep into what it feels like to not have your usual senses.
Tip: For the best experience, we recommend using headphones or earplugs along with a blindfold (Unless you already are deaf and/or blind)
Gameplay
When you play DeafBlind, the screen is just black, and it's totally quiet. Winning or losing isn't the point of the game; it's more about seeing what it's like to live in a world where you can't rely on your eyes or ears, just on touching and feeling stuff.
Achievements
The game has these cool achievements that you get as you make your way through the darkness. They're not just regular goals; they tell a story about everything you do in the game.
This game is made for anyone who's up for trying something really different. It invites you to check out a world that's hidden and silent, pushing you to get used to it and find some kind of meaning when you can't immediately see or hear what's going on.
DeafBlind wants you to just dive in and experience the deep quiet and the big darkness—find out what's waiting beyond what you can normally sense.

While the developer could have crafted a meaningful & unique experience (such as requiring a controller & utilizing Haptic Morse Code or vibrations + frame-precise techniques), they've instead presented players with nothing more than a black screen, silence, & 22 achievements primarily based on common keystrokes used in gaming (such as
WASD for movement
,
SPACE for jump
,
I for inventory
, etc.). Aside from the effort spent in utilizing achievements for storytelling (if you can even really call it that), the developer didn't even take themselves or the experience seriously enough to code their own "game" or craft their own informational/promotional texts — instead relying on AI for assistance, which is laughable when you consider how low effort…10 found this helpful
I spent a long time waiting on the game’s Steam page for the images to load. Then life happened, and I forgot. I waited again after launching the game. Eventually, it clicked. Staring at this pitch-black screen and the actions I repeat that once held meaning, I thought about many things. I wondered if I would regret never playing games again. I recalled my favorite games across genres, their value, and the joy they brought me. In the end, there was only one sad conclusion:
I would only feel regret over not playing FEMBOY games, because they are the only thing I lack in real life yet wish to have.
