About Mage Tower, A Tower Defense Card Game

Mage Tower, A Tower Defense Card Game is an adaptation of the 2013 card game, released the same year. Draft a deck of cards, then battle an AI opponent. Each time you defeat the enemy player, they gain more health. Learn the card pool and draft more degenerate decks as the enemy's power level increases.

Tower Defense-Inspired Battles

As you're battling the enemy, you'll both be fighting off hordes of monsters. Play your own monsters to attack the enemy, cast powerful spells to clear your monster board, and find other devious ways of attacking the opponent.

Adapted from the 2013 card game "Mage Tower, A Tower Defense Card Game"

The tabletop game is available at www.supermegagames.net

As a 2013 game, keep in mind this has low resolution sprites and primitive retro sound effects. You fight the same AI opponent over and over, though both players will draft vastly different decks each time, and you'll be forced to adapt as the enemy gets more difficult.

Features:

•A faithful digital adaptation of the physical card game.
•Over 120 draftable cards.
•Two modes: "Random Deck" and "Draft Mode".
•Complex cards allowing for a deep well of card interactions.
•Each time you beat the opponent in a mode, the enemy gets more life next duel.

First off, this is in no way a tower defense game. I played the tutorial and two games, but I don't see this getting any better. Perhaps if I had played the original game, things would be different, but the constant confusion is a major drawback. It doesn't help that everything is fuzzy. I get the impression this is the result of someone taking photos of the game cards. This is blamed on the game being older, but that makes no sense, camera resolutions being what they are. Even if such technical wizardry is beyond them, the text could have been retyped. Just lazy. The game play is odd, there seems to be two 'players' playing against monster decks. You are only one of the players, so 3/4 of the time, you have no real idea what is going on. You can only read the cards if you expand them, and you can't do this during the times that it isn't your turn. No way this can be recommended, two thumbs down.

What a nice hidden Gem. Reminds me a lot visually of the old original MTG video games. I enjoy it and it's very much worth the price.

Mage Tower, A Tower Defense Card Game is a strategic hybrid title that mixes deckbuilding mechanics, defensive survival systems, and tabletop-inspired gameplay into a surprisingly deep tactical experience. Developed and published by Super Mega Games, the title adapts the creator’s original physical card game into digital form while maintaining the feel of a classic tabletop strategy experience. Instead of focusing on flashy presentation or cinematic storytelling, the game concentrates entirely on card management, strategic drafting, and surviving increasingly difficult battles against enemy forces that constantly pressure both players on the battlefield. The gameplay revolves around building and refining a deck of cards before entering battles where players must defend themselves against incoming monsters while simultaneously trying to overpower an opposing mage. This unusual structure gives the game a distinctive identity because victory depends on balancing offense, defense, and resource management all at once. Players summon creatures, cast spells, and manipulate the battlefield while waves of hostile enemies threaten both sides continuously. The combination of direct card comb…
