Note: A wonderful friend gifted me a copy of this game. ^^
Let's make a movie! :D

Introduction
Maggie's Movies - Second Shot is a time management game developed by Space Fox Games and published by Jujubee S.A. It is the sequel to Maggie's Movies - Camera, Action!, which is available on Steam. However, you do not need to have played the first game in order to play this one. You take on the role of Maggie, who's directing her first (hopefully) Hollywood blockbuster pirate movie, Immense Darkness. Of course, it isn't easy directing a movie, and she's advised to seek help from Javier, a famous director who has a turbulent personal life. Despite having Javier on board, Maggie starts to question whether he can handle the task, even leaving it upon herself at times to take on multiple tasks. On top of that, she's dealing with personal issues with her dad, who's away frequently on dangerous locations for on-the-scene photos. Yup, it can be quite difficult to take on so many problems at once. :o With the gameplay, there are a total of 60 story levels and 18 challenge levels. You can choose from among 3 difficulty modes: easy, normal,…

Maggie's Movies - Second Shot is the second instalment in the series and like its predecessor a time management game with a soap opera storyline attached to it. This time we deal with daddy issues from a Daughter->Father perspective and a Father->Daughter perspective involving 2 different sets of characters. The lagging game play from the last game is no more so it is on par with the rest of this type of games which are mostly published by Gamehouse. Unlike the latest games published by Gamehouse i am comfortable with the price range this game has. There are two minor technical things that are more annoying than a real problem. 1. The background noise for some levels is so high that you hardly can hear anything else. 2. If you leave full screen once the games thinks you play on a smart phone and auto adjusts the aspect ratio. However maximising or readjusting the window size fixes it but you can’t go back into a working full screen anymore. And finally there is a logical story flaw that bothered me a bit as well. If you are an ex alcoholic or on your way to be one what type of beverage do you not want to get served? Right not the thing you are or where addicted to… Well the ga…

Maggie’s Movies - Second Shot, developed by Space Fox Games and published by Salient Games, is a lively time management title that builds on familiar genre foundations while adding a layer of narrative charm centered around filmmaking. The game follows Maggie, a determined director trying to revive her career, and uses this premise to tie together a series of fast-paced production challenges. Rather than presenting disconnected tasks, it frames each level as part of a broader journey, giving the player a sense of purpose beyond simply achieving high scores. The gameplay is rooted in classic time management design, where success depends on juggling multiple responsibilities under strict time limits. Players oversee busy film sets, coordinating actors, preparing props, managing equipment, and ensuring that each scene is completed efficiently. The mechanics are easy to grasp, but the real challenge lies in prioritization and maintaining a smooth workflow as new elements are gradually introduced. As the game progresses, levels become more demanding, requiring quicker reactions and better planning to keep everything running without delays. This steady increase in complexity keeps the e…

I really enjoy time management games and they've always been my go-to casual games after playing heavier titles like Resident Evil, Tekken, Tenchu and similar games back in the day. I've also always been a fan of the Delicious Emily series, but they're quite expensive on Steam, at least in my region haha. Thankfully, I found Maggie's Movies: Second Shot and it really brought back that nostalgic feeling of classic time management games without breaking the bank. I love the art style, the story and the gameplay loop. It's simple but very satisfying. I just wish there would be more entries or a continued series after this game ✨

I enjoy the gamehouse games, always have. This one has a few glitches/bugs but nothing that makes it unplayable.
