I developed Mainly at Rest to prove to people that it can be an eternal challenge rather than finishing Getting over it or ALTF4. I wish you good luck in advance.
- Mainly at rest is a climbing game similar to Getting over it but this time you will need your legs and endurance.
- Climb a huge snow mountain full of pitfalls and traps to overcome all obstacles and end the suffering.
- But the game isn't as hard as it seems to follow your path and you'll make it
- With the help of your leg, you'll soon be able to run, jump and fly.
- The average time to play a tester is 2 hours. I thank them in advance for their help in developing the game.
(I didn't finish the game)
Show me what you can do and conquer my challenge!
(Good luck)

Mainly at rest is a foddian games with fairly normal platformer controls. Jump left and right. The map design is pretty bad. First of all, 3d object on a 2d plane, always hard to tell where the exact hitbox is. Then, there is a lots of blind jump, i'd even go to say more than 50% of the map is blind jump so you spend a lots of time trials and erroring each jump which make each fall feel like it's not your fault and it's just bad design. Most of the achievement have no description so it's hard to know what they are and dev didn't answer my question about them on discord. I really wouldn't recommend you play this one and suggest elara's light, trigger henry or escape jump before it8 found this helpful
I played this game for 10 mins and I'm already beyond annoyed. The creator did his/her job well. I will be live streaming this from time to time to see how long it took me. After streaming for 2 hours: Was (quietly) raging 15 mins in, got further than I did starting after an hour, but barely. Somehow I manged to play for two whole hours. I'm not really sure if "Mainly at Rest" fully qualifies as an asset flip. The developer acknowledges that they took assets from other people to make the game, but they also didn't actually credit those asset creators properly. We are left to wonder who actually created the assets here. If this was done in Hollywood, assuming the developers avoided court, they'd still never be allowed to work in the industry again. Sure, the game licenses (probably) permit the use of the assets in this case, but it's still irksome that the developer did not credit the asset creators. There's also the old axiom... those who can't create game assets properly usually aren't particularly capable of any of the other parts of game development either, which is certainly true for this game. Regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. "Mainly at Rest" is an extremely badly made 3D rendered side scrolling platformer, and I really mean it's so badly made, it hurts to try playing it. Sure, the developer got his hands on some pretty nice Unreal Marketplace assets (not sure from which actual creators though), bu…5 found this helpful
