I loathe this game. It is truly awful. I thought this would be a traditional matching game. It matches.... but not in the way you would think. You have to match cards directly next to each other. You can't match across the board. So if there is a card in the bottom of a 12x12 grid and one at the top, you have to move it one space at a time all the way up the board with a slow turn over transition each time you click on the card to move it one space. It's just mind-numbingly boring. It's not a difficult game as there is really no puzzle element to it. Find the matching card and then move it across the board one space at a time to match them. I do not recommend this game unless you don't value your time and hate your life.

The game is very relaxing and beautiful. I loved the music. I think the kitten´s meows could be better played just when you make a matching cat instead of every time you flip a card, since it can become a bit repetitive that way. The game is very lovely and it really helped me relax for a while.

Matching Cats is a fun and relaxing memory game, perfect for cat lovers who want to play something that doesn't require a lot of thinking. There are 20 levels, each getting progressively harder as more cards are added to the board. Each level brings new cats, drawn in a variety of cute and funny situations. The background is also quite beautiful and the music is calming.

There's a cat in the game that is grumpily sitting next to a glass of wine, contemplating drinking the whole thing in one go. That cat is now me after playing this game. It's clear that the devs wanted to make a unique puzzler game that featured cute and iconic cats. They succeeded in illustrating some iconic and cute cats. However, the game itself is a nightmare. "Matching Cats" asks you to match cats, yes, that's true, but what it doesn't tell you is that this is an amalgamation of blind puzzle tile sliding and memory, with required single-card flips for EACH SPACE. The result is something that feels like you have to brute-force two potentially enjoyable genres of game at the same time, spending an absolute unnecessary amount of clicks to move one card to where you want it to go. I've had to break up my playtime of this game not out of enjoyment but because it's absolutely infuriating to have to input so much for basic movement, tile by tile, instead of being able to click any tile not adjacent to the current selection, or being able to slide a tile through, say, multiple empty spaces instead. I committed to 100%ing this game and I don't feel like it's worth it. The pluses…

I really wish I liked this game, because obviously the cats are cute, but it was just so tedious. I was under the impression that it was a standard memory game, but you actually have to move matching tiles across the board to merge together. You can only swap a card with the ones next to it, which means once you find a match you have to scoot the cards all the way across the board to each other. One. Square. At a time. All the other cards are shuffling around while you do this, so unless you have a superhuman memory you're probably going to forget where any of the cards you saw in the meantime ended up. The only saving grace for me was that you can flip a card back over without moving it by just clicking on it again. On the plus side, this means you can focus on finding a match without having to worry about where the cards are moving to while you're looking, but it also means you have to click twice as many times, which only adds to the tediousness of the whole thing.

Repetitive, could have been better. Puzzles get a bit boring after the first few levels.
