This is game should be called manual battler. And this game should be playable with a mouse.1 found this helpful
Mechanibot is a refreshingly different take on the auto-battler and roguelite formula, built around the idea that you’re not just a strategist arranging units from afar, but an active participant in the chaos of the battlefield. Instead of sitting back and watching robots fight, you guide a small mechanic-hero who runs among your robotic companions, repairing them mid-battle, repositioning them, and stepping in to influence fights directly. This blend of hands-on action and tactical planning gives the game a lively rhythm that separates it from more passive auto-battlers. There’s always something to do, always a bot to save, always a positioning adjustment to consider — and the tension that comes from managing both strategy and movement gives the game its personality. At the heart of Mechanibot is its team-building system, which revolves around assembling a mix of robots with complementary abilities. Each bot type has its own strengths, attack patterns, and synergy bonuses, encouraging you to experiment with combinations until you find a lineup that clicks. Some bots are straightforward damage dealers, some apply area effects, others absorb punishment, and still others provide uti…
This is a simple but very enjoyable little game. At first I had trouble enjoying it as I had to micromanage the robots in a frantic way, which was not very enjoyable. Two things helped me get past that. One is holding down the grab button to let me move all of them at once, the other was coming up with a consistent strategy that I was aiming for with the right robots and upgrades to execute it; and then sticking with it. I found the game easier and more enjoyable after that. It is a fun, interesting, nice, and short game.
Nice little game. Worth the little price tag it has. It entertained me for the time I played.
Yes.
Best 15 hours spent The game is very cheap for how fun it is. Surprisingly every strategy you can think of will most likely work to complete a run. When completing a run, the game offers more difficulty modifiers from enemies dealing more damage to having wrenches spawn less often. There is also a story that takes place with enjoyable characters. The story is not too long nor forced on the player. There's also an "infinite" mode where it turns the game to a more last stand type game where enemies almost always and the store is always available. Enemies in the infinite mode also progressively get faster and bigger. Moving to the units, no two units are alike. Every unit has a primary color/class with most having a unique secondary color/class. This allows a mix match of units rewards players for exploring combinations of unused units. If I had a complaint about the game, it would be the awkward controls for mouse and keyboard. The controls themselves are not bad. The issue I have rather is when I have my cursor over the shops gui or settings and I attempt to cycle through with a or d it uses the cursors position and moves the selection back to where the cursor is. You can use the m…
