About Mech Armada
Mech Armada puts you in command of your own team of custom-built Mechs. Upgrade and build your roster of available Mechs from over 80 unique parts, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and playstyles. From flamethrowers to mega missile pods, fighter drones to rayguns, determining the right Mech build and leveraging its weaponry is key to conserving your resources and defeating The Swarm.
Mech Armada offers deep grid-based, turn-based combat, where there are no perfect solutions to the challenges you face. Understanding your enemy and anticipating their actions, getting to know the limitations of your Mechs while managing your resources and observing the terrain ahead of you will determine your success. At the end of each area, you’ll need to take on The Swarm’s major bosses: they're massive, ugly and ridiculously tough. Are you up to the task?
No two runs in Mech Armada are the same. With procedurally generated levels set across a backdrop of varied post-apocalyptic environments, every element in the game is randomly combined and balanced to create a unique, challenging experience. Like all rogue-likes, death in Mech Armada means game over. You’ll need to try again with an entirely new run, with fresh Mechs and all new encounters.
Wanting to try new tactics, Mech designs and strategies without risk? Head to the Sandbox, where you can pick any parts you want. Practice your maneuvers, experiment with unique loadouts and refine your strategies against The Swarm. What Steam players say

✦ AI summary
Players appreciate this tactical roguelite mech game for its strategic depth and chess-like gameplay, with customization options and solid replayability that reward careful planning and run setup. However, some find the difficulty curve frustrating, particularly with ranged combat feeling underpowered against boss enemies that can attack across most of the map, leading to rapid mech losses and excessive dodging rather than engaging combat.
Is a fun game, yet a short one, if you like assembly mech, test combination and destroy alien you'll have a blast. That said, the base price is totally off for what it offers, in 20 hours I ended the campaign, unlocked all the part and got most of the achievement, what's left is to tinker a bit . I suggest to take it when is under 10 $. The game has a lot of potential, the structure is here, but it hasn't been developed, I give a positive because I can't give a mixed and is totally not a bad game. Hope this review helps2 found this helpful
A (negative) review I read before buying described the game as "like chess". That convinced me to get it. After playing, I can confirm it IS LIKE CHESS! I love it! The process of setting up a run (i.e. what to unlock at start, what mechs to make) really gets my neurons firing. Cheesing out a battle to get as much energy as possible is fun. Prepping for a certain map by for instance changing propulsion methods. I actually have another roguelike mech game that is like chess, Into The Breach, and I like this one even more. I feel it's more strategic, less RNG based, and strategic choices like setting up a run mater much more. The battles are more satisfying too, nothing wrong with surviving for a set of turns (which every battle in ItB is like), but "kill all enemies" is an excellent complement to those.2 found this helpful
Great game. Had a bunch of fun with this one Had similar feels to me to ITB and Last Spell but with a great number of parts. Its well balanced with many different parts being viable
A damn good start. With what little content the game has in it at the moment I still played it for 20 hours
-fuzzy blurry graphics -repetitive, very repetitive -rough audio -no projective range overlay before moving :/ (big fail right here) -so save button? its unclear if a auto save feature exists or not, or if you just play as much as you can in one sitting and then its all done with when you quit? not fully sure here as a playthrough pretty much ends in 10mins, as its basically speed checkers, occasionally speed chess -can see limitations/end point to content in first sitting/session +cool theme +seemingly no glitches +good replay-ability are you missing out if you dont buy this? sadly no, your not missing out, even though its decently cool, the fuzzy play-doh grapics and sound bound audio is a bit of a turn off, i would have been able to handle the simplistic gameplay/combat loop if it wasn't for the bad graphics and sounds, its not the worst game ive ever played, but not good enough to recommend
