Players praise this tower defense game for its charming dog-themed aesthetic, solid mechanics, and affordable price point, with several noting good sprite work and satisfying roguelite progression systems. However, complaints center on limited strategic depth due to restricted tower placement options, repetitive gameplay that doesn't maintain long-term engagement despite early promise, and somewhat basic graphics that some find unattractive, though the straightforward design appeals to casual fans of the genre.
Fun game, but gets a little repetitive after awhile. But at it's price -- not really a problem.3 found this helpful

The game has a lot of the right features but they don't produce the most engagement and do not generate the desire to keep at it. It has a good tutorial; the game is fairly simple, so you can get going quickly. After that, you have paths to upgrade the strength of your turrets in several ways (direct, buying universal, cards). This adds to the interest and, because of the cards, which come every 3 waves, there is some luck added. Beyond that, it does not have a lot of strategy involved, especially since the turrets can only be placed on a few specific spots. The graphics are rudimentary at best, and not attractive. The turrets are dogs, which can be given upgraded strengths and come in a few different "breeds" with different attributes. It also is a "rogue-lite", which in TD games may not carry much appeal. I don't want to be too critical, but I would place it in the marginal category (5/10).
Classic Sega vibes here. The sounds and graphics have a nostalgic feel. The game works like a traditional tower defense game. Straightforward with time between waves to set up, an option to speed up waves, and options to upgrade your "towers" and base between matches. The maps change between plays so there is some variability. The tower selection isn't robust but still fun. All in all, well worth the low cost for any casual tower defense fan.
Plants vs Zombies? More like Dogs vs. Robots, am I right Fun and strategic tower defense where every positioned unit counts, especially in the late game. Amazing sprite work, with good animation and nice details. Each of the 5 dog types can bring something significant to the table, and the roguelite elements are very welcome. Also, there are pinschers with bazookas
