Our grumpy teacher kindly grants us some leisure time, during which we explore the island. A pendant has fallen out of her pocket as she was snoozing. Why is she always so arrogant towards us? Why is a section of the island blocked off? Why do we pass out shortly after, and, most importantly, where are we? The answer is lying somewhere on the island... MEMENTO combines solid, cutscene-based story-telling with mediocre-at-first gameplay that results in an experience like no other. The visuals are... strange at times. I have never seen an outside scenery this pixelated. It may look odd at first, but over time, you start to notice its charm and beauty. I'd say it's a symbol of hand drawn art by a skilled artist, but this game was released before the generative AI era. The gameplay is a standard and reliable "walk-and-explore" foundation. The first quarter of the same is punishingly difficult and tedious at times. At first, I wanted to uninstall the game and give up just because of how bored I was. Short and sweet with some very impressive set-pieces and creature designs, fair warning that some parts can be frustrating but those moments don't stick around too long.

i really like the overall vibe of the game but it doesnt save properly, just had to start over after playing like 2 hours yesterday. although it might be my issue so i still recommend

This game is fun and I enjoyed using different methods to each puzzle, the atmosphere of the game is incredible, the monster designs are creative and the story and characters are great. Its good to replay as well.
