[Pay-to-Play] I'll preface this by saying that this is a short game, i completed it in 23 minutes and there are no achievements.. It is RPGMaker style, but it is not the endlessly grinding type ; there's a story plot and I think its really well-made The takeaway for us is that sometimes the reality is different from expectations and we shouldnt force on others our ideals and how they should behave / act This game is really good at teaching life lessons; haha.. Tho there are no achievements, if we can takeaway something from this game, its an achievement itself~ Tags: [RPGMaker] [Short] [Life Lessons] [No Achievements]13 found this helpful
Memory Shards is a really short story of a man understanding himself and growing into who he is today. The gameplay does not have much action but it was perfectly executed and was a joy to play from the start till the end. I finished the game in under 30 minutes. The game was short but packed a punch with its story. Recommended.4 found this helpful
Mm... I played this game mainly because it had a character with dark hair and glasses... That and it was an RPG and... I get it. It's like a lesson in form of a game, plus the... No spoilers. You just need basic knowledge of turn based combat to progress... And there were plenty of sprites to look at. For me that is... The only thing I am wondering is... Who was that mage guy? There was nothing about him at all... Was he there so we can make a story up about him? :D Regardless, I liked it and it wasn't too depressing. Yes, that's a bonus! And I am glad for the guy (the one with glasses) in the end... The Red haired prince and the woman too! Hope the guy (Main Character) actually finds his way in life too... Perhaps a partner as well ^-^! That said... THANK YOU! :D :3 =)2 found this helpful
A nice, short game, with a good story, and straightforward gameplay. It's main point is it's nostalgic and emotional narrative, which is specially relatable for people born in the PSX era.2 found this helpful
This was a really nice experience! Although it is a short game, it's a very well told short story that really does make you think. It's a lesson on respecting boundaries and not pushing ideals, if I say anything more than this it would get into spoiler territory. I don't find the size of the game to be an issue at all, especially considering the price, I am definitely looking forward to this dev's other (future) games. :) Also! Plays wonderfully on the steam deck, just needed to change the control scheme. :D1 found this helpful
Simple game containing two storylines, one in the modern times and one fantasy, more game-like. The two stories have a thematic connection between them. I like how you can play different parts of the fantasy story by using memory cards. Reminds me of my old PS1 console.
