Fun, not-actually-hentai satire game. The humor and writing for this game are my style. Note for the Dev: The cat girl harem concept makes the game sound like it could be an adult, hentai game rather than satire. The store page should be more explicit about what to expect. That should make people on either side of the divide happier.

I wanted to try and look past this game's faults and just couldn't. The character art is solid, but you get to see it so rarely. As near as I can tell, there's no way to view the art for the catgirls you've recruited after having recruited them. You have a status screen where you can set them to be the girl(s) you summon for assistance in the methods they can provide it, but you don't see their character art on that screen, only their sprite. Even as a game with no nudity or H scenes, being able to view the character art is something your player wants to be able to do, especially in a game about collecting (cat)girls for your harem. The movement and combat are some of the jankiest by far of any game that I've ever played. You cannot swing your weapon in the first few frames of jumping and swings are singular entities, not part of any combo attack if you're repeatedly pressing the attack button. I'm okay with that second note, as it lends a feeling of weight and commitment to the attack, but even early enemies take 5-10 attacks to kill and, at just over one attack per second, it was more worth my time to just avoid them, ignoring whatever resource they awarded on kill. There are a …

The year is 2025, players are overwhelmed by a glut of video games in practically every genre, and this doubly goes for the 2D Metroidvania genre. So what does Meowphoria offer that many of its competitors do not? Yes, that's correct. Catgirls. As one of a handful of games within the catgirl genre, you, the one reading this review, can consider yourself an investor in the potential of the catgirl genre. We've all seen advertisements asking us to donate to starving children in Africa, and many emphatic, bleeding hearts find themselves compelled to part with their hard-earned slave wages to ultimately fail to feed African children—and fail to teach starving African parents how to maintain the technology necessary to feed their starving children. However, consider the following: the developer is a starving Eastern European catgirl lover. By parting with your hard-earned wages, you'll receive approximately 4 hours of game featuring at least a dozen cute catgirls and later tuck yourself into bed and enter dreamland with feel-good feelings of having fed a starving developer of Eastern European descent. When has a starving African child—or any of these other human aid programmes—given you…

the game is not that great, i love the game design and characters design but it honestly too difficult. i was hoping for a nice, easy going game that's fun to play but this game is kind of crap. i wouldn't recommend to others unless they like difficult and complicated games.
