Merge Me!

Merge Me! isn't really a proper game, it's just a lazy 2D browser/Flash-tier "number incrementer" game where the object of the game is to increase the in-game currency by clicking, and sometimes buying things that increase the rate at which your currency/score goes up. It's an incredibly shallow game loop, to the point you might as well just run a program that does "i=i+1; print i" and watch the numbers go up automatically, and just watch it. You'd get the exact same outcome. If this sounds completely mindless, you're not wrong. There's about 0.05% more depth to this than your average incrementer (and the Russian shovelware pusher behind this has pushed a lot of very average incrementers onto Steam... a deluge of clickers, almost all alike, polluting the store). You can "merge" the things you click on so they sell more. But they only sell for the product of the worth of their individial components, so this is just additional steps for the same outcome. What a pointless waste of time. It does serve to thwart some autoclickers. Which, by the way, is really just a demonstration of how bad these "games" are, if they're so bad the only pleasure comes from getting a bot to play …

List of things wrong with the game: 1) relic achievements are broken, either they don't register when u get the relic or the game doesn't let u claim the relic even know u have the maxed out item for it. 2) very common issue its that the PNGs of items will overlap 3) every level is just a repeat of the last, making the game very boring and lacking in gameplay 4) very slow start I wish i could get a refund, cuz this game was not worth buying, with amount of issues.

I like the game, as someone who likes merging games. Yes, slow start. But it's not horrible. The resource-costing upgrades are nice, as they help you get more as time goes on. However the gold ones.... I don't feel much use for them. Like, things to boost your score on a leaderboard? I can do without that. Spend gold for more gold? Depends. The only useful upgrade there is the double resources chance one. which goes up .5% at a time and when I spent the 500 gold on it it went to 1k for the next upgrade. WAY too expensive for hardly noticeable upgrades. Last thing I wanna say is that yes, there are some glitches. When it comes to the glitch where you end up with a monster on top of another monster, I just leave the game and go back in. The game could definitely use some work, I just hope the developer will fix it up one day.

Would make a decent free clicker, but as is, it has game-breaking bugs related to the relic system. I've upgraded everything and completed all the top-level merges, but now I'm stuck waiting over 100 days of the game running to finish the final gold mission, with no way to get the relics needed to speed it up. I don't think I'll be doing that. The concept is neat, but the execution needs refinement. The early game is torturous as you're forced to just sit and right-click for an hour with no reason to merge or do anything—just click the same spot. Needs a lot of polishing to be truly enjoyable.
