About Metanormal
Due to some unknown phenomenon, the spirits of the world are growing stronger. Unable to move on to the proper afterlife, they've grown restless being trapped in the Spirit Realm. Now that they're out, the strongest wish to terrorize the Human Realm. Some aspire to rule them. Others merely yearn for their destruction.
It's up to Desmond Gates, the boy with the ability to interact with spirits, to restore order.
By his side are his best friends, Cicilia Shine and Milo Martin.
Accompanying them on their journey is Otto, a spirit that's been protecting Desmond since he was a child.
Their path will constantly be fraught with danger, having to face a wide variety of opponents.
During combat you are taken out of the world and placed into a bullet-hell stage. Each stage will be unique and modeled around the opponent. Stages could also have sudden changes in combat mechanics, like switching from the usual free-roam to a platformer.
The concept is simple, your goal is to deplete the enemy's health bar before they do the same to you.
You attack by staying on top of a white-bordered object, most commonly a circle.
You have to stay on it long enough for the white parts to completely disappear to cause damage to the enemy.
That's easier said than done because the enemy will throw everything its got at you to keep you off it.
If you find yourself low on health, chase the green HP Savers.
It's up to you to decide how risky you want to play it.

This game has a lot of things going for it including great music, nice visuals, and a unique style. If you like visual novels and have some skills to dodge bullet hell style in combat, you will like this game a lot. #glenngamez3606 found this helpful

Игра 'Metanormal' захватила меня своей атмосферой таинственности и непредсказуемости. Сюжет, закрученный вокруг паранормальных явлений и скрытых обществ, держит в напряжении от начала и до конца. Графика, хоть и не поражает передовыми технологиями, отлично передает мрачную эстетику мира, в котором грань между реальностью и вымыслом размывается. Персонажи получились живыми и запоминающимися, у каждого своя история и мотивы. Интересно наблюдать за их взаимодействием и развитием в процессе расследования. Геймплей сочетает в себе элементы визуальной новеллы, головоломок и детективного расследования, что делает его разнообразным и увлекательным. Особо хочется отметить музыкальное сопровождение, которое идеально дополняет атмосферу и подчеркивает ключевые моменты сюжета. Иногда возникают небольшие шероховатости в управлении, но они не критичны и не портят общее впечатление от игры. В целом, 'Metanormal' - это отличный выбор для тех, кто любит игры с глубоким сюжетом, загадками и паранормальными явлениями. Рекомендую к прохождению!

Complete Honesty! I am VERY IMPRESSED, and I feel like everything in this game speaks to me! The artwork and the soundtrack draws me in not to mention I love the Characters, Otto is a cool lil Flame, And I love how I thought Mimi was a girl not a nickname for Milo haha. 9/10 love the game! I have a lot more to explore tho! Ill have a link today to my first look at it, and you will see why I enjoyed it so much!
