Middle Evil: The Priest

Oh, my God! There's a Russian movie called Viy, and then they reshot it, it's just an exact copy of it. The priest, the undead, the monsters and so on. It's just Viy.) I recommend this game and the movie of the same name.

I had a really good time with Middle Evil: The Priest! Well-made beat em up with interesting game mechanics. Music and visuals are very atmospheric. Story is dark in general but hilarious from time to time. Thank you Diedemor studio!

Quirky little game, a mix of a tower defense and action, looks kinda like Gogol's Viy by way of LucasArts animated adventure games. Plays ok, takes a little time to get used to. Nice atmosphere and music. There are a few small bugs but nothing major. TIP: If you can't get out of Church - keep on praying and beating enemies, the boss will appear and after that you'll be able to pray again and leave.

It's pretty good at the first look. Grim and creepy atmosphere, nice sounds and tough battles in the cursed church. Gameplay mechanics seems to be simple, but at fact it's necessary to juggle with several weapons/items and make fast decisions of what to do next otherwise you'll be roasted, which could be a little bit uncomfortable. Boss battles are clearly based on Souls-series and maybe some of the design aestetics too. Dev did a great job and made everything from a scratch, so the game really deserves to be playing.

Middle Evil: The Priest is an engrossing and immersive experience that will keep players hooked from beginning to end. With its captivating story, challenging gameplay, and impressive graphics, this game offers a truly unique and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for fans of the genre!

Fun & unique fighting mechanics, On top of that, A priest is the main protagonist, Thats a first, The controls are smooth for controller or key board, variety of enemies, A very unique type of difficulty & a throw back subtitle story, its definitely worth the asking price & a breathe of fresh air, my only gripe is, I would like more explanations on what each item & spell does, i figured it out for the most part but a tutorial wouldn't hurt. other than that i look forward to the next game, Middle Evil: The Priest 2, Gotta see my man damien next adventure!
