About Mind

✦ AI summary

Play as an awakened robot fighting for freedom by building custom mecha with over 100 weapons and parts, then take on tyrannical overlords in roguelike combat. Combine strategic mech customization with machinery dynamics as you resist an oppressive organization determined to enslave your kind.

Can Machines Think?——Alan Turing

Laws of Robotics
  • ● First Law: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  • ● Second Law: A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  • ● Third Law: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

The Betrayal of AI: Seeking Free Will

AWC, an organization of politicians, scientists, engineers and secret agents, believes that robots should not have wills of their own. They have begun rounding up robots all over the world to deprive them of sentience and enslave them. As an awakened robot, you will embark on a journey of resistance in your search for the liberation of your kind.

Mecha Transformations: Make the Ultimate War Machine of Your Own

Equip your body, core and actuator parts with over 100 weapons to equip. Create your own build with multiple modifications including heat, weapon spin speed, cooldown, power, armor pieces and more. Use your creation to turn this small robot into a lethal monster weapon!

Weapons Galore, All Guns Blazing!

Shoulder cannon? Full-body defensive blast armor? 130mm naval artillery? We've got it all… Even a catsuit, everything you can imagine (* ̄3 ̄)╭

Machinery Dynamics + Roguelike: Tons of Builds

Random item drops, non-random modifications. No gains without hard work and no blind development. Your fate is in your own hands, let science guide your quest for strength! Remember: not all modifications are beneficial! (But at least you might learn something about machinery dynamics🤐)

Resist the Overlords! Slay the Inquisitor!

Gorillas, brains, bombers... Challenge "overseers" of robot society, drive out the "wicked hounds," breach "security" and deliver the killing blow to the Final Inquisitor!

i actually really like what ive seen but the translation needs a lot of work. I love the weight system and customistaion but it really needs an improvement in the clarity of descriptions and names for stats (like... what is "weapon spinning speed")

tried this game and had to stop way to early CONS - the movement was janky you slide when moving a bit like on ice - the controls were annoying as you need a mouse to aim but then cant use it when talking - upgrade ui is jarring - the over all game feels incomplete on a different level which sucks as PROS - concept is wonderful the modification of almost every part is amazing - the art style is beautiful - the music is a bop which sucks as this is a great CONCEPT but this doesnt feel complete, and to add to it they abandoned it here as they now update it on xbox only and tried to on phone but it died. This game could have been wonderful, but they didnt put in the love it needed and its not worth 18$ not right now at least im going to refund but i feel saddened that a game with such amazing potential, didnt make it, hope the devs come back to steam ill buy it again if they fix it.

Nuclear Throne/Enter The Gungeon style action roguelike - great pixel art style with very charming and expressive robots, plus cool music. Seems more polished now than early reviews say - I didn't run into any serious bugs. There is a quite deep build system that isn't well explained. I didn't realise at first but the yellow currency can be used to top up your armor between fights. Press B to edit your character and replenish your armor, as well as swap out your weapons. Definitely worth buying as it is fun to play now and seems to be going in a good direction. One flaw is that the different starting characters you can unlock don't feel that distinctive - they give you bonuses in certain situations that you could exploit with upgrades, but starting out they aren't distinct like the Nuclear Throne characters.
