Mind Lure

I like card games. I'm miserable right now. I needed something to take my mind off of how awful my life is right now. Pros - - Easy to learn. Madness mechanic is easy to understand. Sacrifice a card, get access to a new variant of it, if it has one. You can alter the variants. Slapping huge effects on cheap cards or dangerous effects on expensive cards to balance it out. OR just do it randomly for fun. Slap all your effects on your fishing rods and pray you encounter more. - Not completely BS with the RNG. The money wheel , while terrible , isn't a complete loss and unlike a lot of roguelike games. This one feels like there are more positive outcomes than negative outcomes. WHICH IS A HUGE BREATH OF FRESH AIR. I AM TIRED OF GETTING PUNISHED FOR EXISTING IN ROGUELIKES AND DECKBUILDERS. The money wheel can make or break a run, but you aren't forced into it. Getting the Greedy Mask, then hitting X2 and X2 again? Bam, 1000+ coins. Hitting divide by 2? Oh well, easy come easy go. The Rune mini game is great, remember the pattern for a reward , mess it up , get punished. -Characters all require different play styles. The Cultist is somehow the easiest and hardest character to win…

it felt more like a chore than game

Totally unplayable as of now because of critical bugs like a huge grey line at the center of the screen, blocking cards during battle and enemies refusing to make anything after I end my turn, causing every battle to stuck after the first turn. Also, overall the game feels very raw and underdeveloped, even tho I've been unable to see the most of it

It lacks UI polish and clarity, a few card descriptions are mistranslated, the balance of some forged (sacrificed/upgraded) cards are questionable, and having too many cards in hand prevents you from using your character's ability, but i'd say i really enjoyed the game. The art is what really kept mme going, it's really good! The overworld exploration map and overall synergy mechanics between relics and cards was pretty unique as well. And the game was light on RAM usage. I think it's worth the price.

This is everything an indie game should be. It's cheap and simple and stylish. It takes the deck-building genre and adds enough innovation to make it feel new and different without sacrificing the mechanics that makes the genre so much fun. Nice work!

I got beaten up by a Lovecraftian anime girl, and that's exactly what I came looking for in this game :v That being said: the progression is kind of slow considering the time it takes to unlock new characters and playstyles, I recommend playing casually with a clear mind because you will suffer many game overs.
