Mobler

[h1] Fun for 10 minutes. Climb up as furniture and other objects fall from the sky. Got to be quick otherwise tentacle monster will consume you. Visuals are ok. Idea seems to be good but it really need some kind of levels or at least progression, without it you play for a while and then pass. [/h1]

"Mobler" is a student project from the Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. It's an "infinite platformer" with some cartoony/low poly artwork. The idea is that you're on, well, less of a platformer level and more of a single column with platformer bits crashing down all the time, and if you're going to survive you need to keep on jumping higher and higher. A simple concept that can turn into some gameplay that's kinda interesting for a few minutes... but hardly enough to keep anyone engaged for hours in the same way a game like Baldur's Gate 3 or Black Myth Wukong can. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. The game works and doesn't look all that bad, I only stuck around for the 2000 points and the quit out.
