The game drops you into an open world where you run around fighting enemies. It follows the usual action RPG formula: you earn experience points and distribute them across four attributes; strength (boosts attack), dexterity (increases attack speed), vitality (affects health and regeneration), and mana (used for magic and its regen). You get a few points with each level-up, but you need to sink quite a few into a stat before you notice any real difference. Leveling also gives you talent points, which you can spend in one of three skill trees. Each tree has 10 skills that unlock in a set order and can be upgraded by investing more points. The downside is that skill descriptions are a bit unclear, probably due to a rough translation, so it can be tricky to figure out what each one actually does. If you make a mistake, no worries. You can reset both your attributes and skills by talking to an NPC near the starting area, a small house that serves as the game's “town.” This spot is also where you pick up new quests, and you can teleport back to it from any stage at any time.
