an RPG maker game from 2014 that has great ambitions and surprisingly thought-provoking writing and gameplay. Centering on themes of choice and consequence, your player character is actually the third person you control: after a framing cutscene, Larry is having a party and is about to select a writer whom to make publishing deal with (thats you). Whomever he drinks with is you and before committing to the deal, you visit the patio to select your significant other (its fully supportive of gay choices as both genders, just be wary as SOME characters will now have extra lines with some pretty harsh language, n-word and f-slur included). At this party are also a few of the recurring characters on our journey, like Larry and his wife, Darkeff and Viper, and the self inserted writers from the Vagabond Dog. the journey proper begins over a year later--you have broken up with your other, have failed to deliver on the book deal, and your scant advances dry up along with employment in Dubstown, the first area. you become homeless on the first day (unless you can pull some tricks to get 500 bucks in a day, not impossible but not easy) and in the mail the next day, along with your last che…

I feel the same about this game, that Peter Griffin feels about "The Godfather."

so bad its like all the worst parets of a kevin smith movie. all the boring relationship talk i guess if you know your going into an indie romance movie walking sim. ppl like me played 10 hrs! thinking the story would finally start.... 2/10 nah 1 ... yeah 1

this was a game that has been rattling in my head since 2014 as a few vague scenes, but i'd think about them pretty frequently. i never got around to playing it myself until super recently, and enjoyed it A LOT. i expect i will return to it after i finish playing the sequel. there are so many things that catch my interest with this game in ways i'm not sure i can fully articulate. the writing, some of the off-the-wall jokes, even the art style is dripping with so much charm. it's a hidden gem that i think more people should experience. my only real complaints have to do with the hunger and money systems, but this is probably just due to user error since i wasn't fully connecting with them to my best ability. i'd have to play the game more to find out if that's the case. highly, highly recommend this game.

this games great i loved the mini games and gameplay. i find myself thinking about this game alot i think i might pick up the 2nd one.
