"Brutal, Addictive, and Shockingly Rewarding." Mortal Glory is a turn-based roguelike set in a quirky fantasy gladiator world that will absolutely make you sweat. This isn’t an easy game by any stretch — in fact, it will frustrate you, punish your mistakes, and sometimes destroy your run in a single bad turn. And yet… it’s so well-designed that you keep coming back for more. One of the best parts of Mortal Glory is how much freedom you have over your team. You can run a single, hyper-geared gladiator and turn them into a monster, or you can build out a squad of four — weaker individually, but with synergy and numbers on your side. Every decision matters, and your team composition genuinely determines whether you live, die, or pull off an insane comeback. The AI doesn’t play around. Enemies can be brutal and will take every opportunity to punish poor positioning or thoughtless moves. But if you plan ahead, exploit weaknesses, and use your abilities wisely, you can overcome the odds. That feeling — when your strategy pays off — is one of the core reasons the game is so addictive. Every match feels tense, because you know a single misplay can ruin everything. But when you survive?…

Mortal Glory is a tough, methodical tactical roguelike that places strategic thinking and long-term planning above spectacle or narrative flourish. Developed and published by Redbeak Games, it casts the player as a manager of gladiators in a harsh fantasy arena where survival is never guaranteed and victory is always earned through careful preparation. Rather than telling a sweeping story, the game focuses on the rise and fall of your fighters across repeated runs, using systems-driven gameplay to create tension, drama, and memorable moments organically. The core loop revolves around recruiting gladiators, equipping them with gear, and guiding them through a sequence of increasingly dangerous arena battles. Every decision carries weight, from which fighters to hire to how much gold to spend on equipment versus saving for future opportunities. Gladiators can die permanently, and losses often cascade into broader strategic consequences, forcing players to adapt quickly or accept the collapse of a promising run. This sense of fragility gives each match a sharp edge, making even early encounters feel meaningful. Combat is turn-based and grid-based, emphasizing positioning, action eco…

Fun game to play from time to time

2+ hours for my 1st run (can Save & Quit anytime), ended 1 fight short of the final boss. Some of these random daily decisions are nail biters, game is niche enough there's no wiki to try to looking them up. I skipped the first 2-3, finally took the next (sacrifice) since I had 3 main fighters + 5-6 others. It killed my wizard with 120 base mana, but got a tome that gives the equipped fighter +80 mana & couple other bonuses. Was able to replace him 2 fights later. Easily could see myself putting in 20+ hours, but I'm more focused on console games right now. Only "issue" with the game is that bows (DLC) feel over-tuned early game, that range is exception strong when most gladiators can only move 1-2 spaces a turn. & late-game there's a quickshot ability that doesn't end your turn. There are some spells that lower enemy AP & dodge chance, which can make them manageable, but can be an absolute menace if you don't have that kind of magic.

Fantastic arena turn based RPG where your fighters are always getting stronger and the difficulty gradually builds between each fight. I beat normal in around 2 hours but there looks to be a couple things to unlock and the sheer variety offers a lot of variety for different runs.

Fantastic little game, 2 dollars on sale is just robbery. Judging from the amount of ratings this game deserves more attention. Really enjoyed my first playthrough but now that I won gotta go try MG2!
