Mosaic Chronicles

[b]Important note for Mac players: [/b] While the Mac version of this game exists on the store, it doesn’t work properly. It runs, but the mosaic pieces don’t snap into place at all, which means you simply cannot complete any of the puzzles. (I have an M2 mac). I reported this, and the devs mentioned that they’re a small studio and haven’t had time to fix the issue. I have the Heroic launcher with Steam side-loaded, so I downloaded the Windows version of the game through there instead, and it worked perfectly. (Update: The Heroic Launcher doesn't work anymore for Steam on mac, so get Porting Kit instead). _______ If you’ve played and liked Glass Masquerade, you’ll probably enjoy Mosaic Chronicles too. It has the same stained-glass puzzle style, but this time there’s a story that unlocks as you progress through the puzzles that have to be solved in order. The story itself is mostly filler, but it’s still cute enough and funny at times and it gives you a nice sense of progression. The puzzles are satisfying, and the difficulty feels just right. Overall good. Several puzzles in the second story were all one color, with slight differences in shade/tone. This made those puzzles very unfun to play. This was not common though. I loved the music, even though there was only like, one track. It could be better, but I loved the fantasy theme.

Beautifully done puzzle game where you can customize your difficulty level. The art is lovely, there are little stories that are entertaining, and there is a lot of content here. It's exactly the sort of chill, meditative puzzle game I was looking for when I don't have the energy for anything more mentally demanding.

I have played a number of jigsawpuzzle games on steam, many of which fell into the stained glass theme. i generally like them better then normal jigsaws because the shapes tend to be more interesting and i like the look of the finished puzzle. But Mosaic Chronicles didn't really do it for me. I didn't like the music (not a huge deal but it's weird to play in silence) and i wasn't a huge fan of the images i had to piece together. There are often big spaces where the tiles look almost identical (like a puzzle with 50% sky or a huge guy whose shirt takes over 30% of the screen). The tiles also often didn't make sense to me and i struggled to make sense of them. I liked the idea that the puzzles were connected with a story but because the puzzles take so long to complete, i didn't really remember much of the story because there was so much time inbetween.

Excellent artwork, excellent game!

This is the best Error 300 game, hands down. The style is endearing, the jigsaws are actually challenging, and there is a ton of content. An hour of gameplay and I was able to complete 3 jigsaws using a hint once or twice. There are three stories with like 20 jigsaws each, that's a ton of content. I recommend this game if you are a jigsaw enthusiast.
