Nice gameplay with tight controls. Reminds me a bit of Towerfall with guns. The lack of maps becomes apparent almost immediately. There are about five maps in versus mode and they get repetitive really quickly. I feel like I've experienced all that the game has to offer in the versus mode after under an hour of gameplay. We had fun while we played though. Here's hoping for some content updates soon.

MPaliens is a lazy 2D retro pixel multiplayer PvP arena combat game where you jump around and brawl stuff, like Super Smash Bros but completely and hopelessly lame in the implementation. There's also a co-op mode, but given that nobody would play such a badly implemented game with such poor visuals, multiplayer should be crossed off the list of features very quickly, leaving.. nothing. Pleasing to nihilists, I guess. Regardless, developers must learn that other gamers are not an acceptable substitute for adding proper content to a game. This looks and feels like an asset/template flip. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC.
