You have far too many types of grind going on, most notably the typical PEON grind which is still fairly obnoxious and will keep presenting you with hard brick walls forcing you to peon farm for basically hours in order to level up ChouChou different forms which is essential for progression, this grind is entirely forced and absolutely slows the pace of the game down …

I really don't want to bash this game into the ground, because it's not that bad of a game, quite fun actually... But man this is not worth purchasing in the state it is in. As depressing as this next set of words is going to be: you're better off buying the Switch version instead. This game is great at its core, some very unique characters, unique mechanics through Moe Kills and Blast Off, a surprisingly in depth item system alongside post game bosses that are worth investing that much time in, and a nicely paced story albeit with its small flaws, mainly fanservice related... But I don't mind it as much anyway, since the rest is pretty fun. I don't care at all about the censorship parts, and as a matter of fact, I'm much better off without those knowing what they are. What I'm very upset about is how poorly this game runs or rather, how much of a lottery it is to get it to run for more than an hour or two without any crashes whatsoever. I just beat Mugen Souls and Mugen Souls Z back-to-back and I can safely say the sequel is the better game. It is far less grindy and the game doesn’t feel like homework where you have to spend more time looking at charts than playing the game. For example, the Moe Kill system actually shows you what the effects of the three choices will be, usually. This drastically cuts down on time wasted. However, this doesn’t happen when you are trying to capture a planetary point, which is the most important time you use the captivate. Additionally, the crafting system is necessary to beat the game this time, but I really wish it wasn’t. You can’t beat the game without using it and you will have to look up recipes online, because the items won’t even show up in the shop. Then you will realize the item you need to make the item you actually need only drops from one creature, which only spawns in one track in the Mugen Zone, so you better have the tickets you need to open that, or you will be grinding for hours. Bought this game years ago and re bought it to play again. Just thought I would leave a positive review. I wish more games like this came out now a days. The version on steam is censored, however I don't care too much about it. I hear content has been removed which I don't quite like. I just don't know what is removed. Either way I still love the game. glad to play it again.
