Fun initially but very shallow and broken with no prospect of getting better even if it comes out of EA. You can use different types of ammo and guns like AP HE HEAT HVAP MG. But armor system is bad. Non-penetrating shots 'strip' armor. So instead of using the dedicated anti-armour guns with AP and APCR rounds, the meta is high rate-of-fire and explosive rounds (MG, HVAP, HE, Rocket). You can take down the biggest tank of WWII, the Maus, with a Machinegun. Because armor is so useless, the best tanks are the ones with more turrets so you can fit more of the OP guns on them. A Rank 1 (the lowest tier) multi-turret tank can win the game easily. A single turret tank like the Tiger I or IS-2 1944 is handicapped by only having a slow AP gun - and the armor they get counts for little since the enemy will just rush you with many small tanks firing machineguns and remove your armor. Most of the vehicles in the game are the single turret types - so that's most the vehicles in the game close to unplayable. In this great little game you can mix and match different hulls and turrets, giving you some very powerful (and sometimes very funny) combinations. The matches are fast, so you can always play one between chores, and the devs are constantly adding things to the game. The downside is, if you want to 100% the achievements, you're in for a looong trip...One of the achievements will take some ~60 hours to achieve. Surprisingly fun and amazing...
It's a lot of fun seeing just how silly you can get with turret combinations. Lots of vehicles to unlock and try out too.
Immensely fun. I just honestly wish there was a longer campaign so we can see how far we can get and some way to make allied tanks not cluster behind me.
Nice game, loads of tanks! Several maps! If you want to make it easy-mode, always get the most Ally vehicles. That trivializes most difficulty. Very strong recommend if you like roguelikes and/or tanks!
