Mushroom Season offers a pretty genuine mushroom foraging experience, with a decently large map and relatively realistic environmental settings, I had a fun time going to new locations, filling my baskets, and so on. It's a very large map, so there's quite a lot to explore, and an incredible amount of carefully placed mushroom patches everywhere you can go in this game, from your backyard all the way to the mountain ranges. The problem lies within that it's pretty barebones as a game past that, the UI is nothing special, the character model assets are wonky looking, and there is no generated spawns for mushrooms - once you've learned where they are, you can always just wait a week and go back to get them because they respawn with no variation in location. Decent amount of playable time, but not replayable, and it's been 14 months since any update. Keep your money unless it's at a considerably large discount.6 found this helpful
I love how despite there's a clear goal (winning the competition) the game actually didn't pressure you and let you roam freely and there's no time limit for the quests either. I would love it if we can mark our maps since I tend to forget where I found certain mushrooms, and also more resting place will be very much appreciated so that my energy won't get depleted whenever I travel across the map. Also, better flashlights will be good too! the forest tends to get very dark and a small smartphone flash is barely helping. Otherwise, can't wait for more update!1 found this helpful
Fun, simple little game. Definitely recommend if you like open world, play at your own pace games.
awesome and fun and a way to learn!
Game so good that I decided I'll die for mushroom poison
Was dissapointed. Just not as good as expected. Did not pull me in straight away. Refunded. May come back later.
