✦ AI summary

Mutant Football League 2 receives mixed reactions from players, with those familiar with the original expressing disappointment over questionable design choices like reused announcer audio, missing creature types, and controversial AI tuning that feels unfair and input-reading rather than genuinely reactive.

I loved MFL 1, ..but 2, They have done horrible tuning .It's not fun anymore..The AI reeads button inputs rather then actually reacting. It overr -buffes itself and actively cheats,...And I had no issues on normal in the previous game, ..Why the heck did they decide it was a good idea to tune an -arcade style- gamee like the first, into...whateever this is for the super hardcore sweats. They Overbuff, THey Over-rubberbadn, Theey -input read so they know -exactly who your passing too- unlike the original which had to react to the balls movement, ...THey focused all the tuning on the 5% top sweaty players who knew how to exploit the AI. The gamee is not fun to play, ..Maybe do "AI management mode" simulator and let it be AI VS AI because hten it can't input read and cheat like hell against you. And instead it's cheating against it's own cheating self. LEt alone the handoff glitches, and ...how much blatant cheating...It's not fun.

I will say, if you haven't played MLF 1 first - then you're missing out. So I love MLF 1 - played it for hours upon hours. This game though, isn't as good at all. They are using the same announcer audio and jokes uses in the first one, which tells me - they didn't really give this game the proper funding it deserved. Literally if you play 1 and listen to the announcers, its the same exact audio and jokes that you already heard. The graphics are better in some ways but in other ways, they are worse. The previous games graphics were just fine though. We're also missing werewolves and aliens which were in the first - where did they go? The first game definitely got more attention to detail...this one feels like a sequel to just make a sequel and a quick buck. I wouldn't doubt if some of it was put together by AI. Again, if you've not played the first - and just play this one...you might like it - but the first is just so much better. I really wanted this to be good. Even the UI is clunky and bloated...and what the hell are the cards for? i start the game and i got cards...you don't tell me what they're for...this is supposed to establish some sort of addictive element of collecting …

I bought this in early access. Never really turned into a good game, now it seems they have pretty much quit on it.

I played the original, then I played number 2. The exact same opening line was delivered for the Kreeps and I thought "oh boy here goes nothing" and then I realized the crowd, and background in general is far more alive. The rain is great, both how it looks and how it sounds. Gameplay is as before, the new green cloud farts are new though. Fart jokes are never not funny though. Honestly the only thing I don't particularly like is the blood splatter, it's "massive red mist" or "absolutely nothing but a flash around the player" if you turn gore off. I wish that there was like a high/medium/low blood, it's just too much, and repetitive. That's it, the rest of it is the Mutant league we all know and love, just improved, the graphics *aside from the red mist* look fantastic!
