First-person walking simulator horror game ✅Dark rooms ✅2 endings ✅Good sound design that fits the creepy atmosphere ❌The torch doesn’t work properly; it’s hard to see anything later on ❌Boring gameplay: you just walk around, collect a key and move on to the next room... ❌The monster, which in theory should be chasing us, does nothing and poses no threat ❌The game should be free because there’s no content here ❌Very little gameplay content ❌The endings are poorly explained and have little impact on the gameplay itself ❌❌ Verdict: Terrible , [strike] Bad [/strike], [strike] Mediocre [/strike], [strike] Decent [/strike], [strike] Good [/strike] , [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for short games, retro indie simulator games and similar)
If you'd like to see more of my reviews, you can find them on my curator page:CuratorKingViking and on my group: GroupKingViking If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask.I'm happy to answer them. P. S. If you have difficulties in the walktrough, this guide will be very useful: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3561496240
A GAME FROM THE WORST INDIE HORROR DEVELOPER ON ALL OF STEAM
The Steam winter sale finally let me grab all the projects of our sorry-rus developer just for fun, which I now regret. This 'masterpiece' is basically the shortest walking simulator through a surreal graveyard and temple catacombs. The whole game is just a dull hunt for keys left in plain sight. There isn’t a trace of atmosphere here (the word 'creepy' only works in quotation marks), no simple puzzles to speak of, and, insanely, no manual saves. Essentially, it’s an empty wander through settings made from free assets, which you finish in 10 minutes and never touch again. Looking at this trash 'bone by bone,' the technical side is just laughable. The developer didn’t even bother to remove the GameGuru logo from the loading menu, which immediately signals zero optimization. The developer’s 'signature style' is instantly recognizable: the game is written in the worst kind of English, and all the exposition is dumped on the player right on the title scree…4 found this helpful
I am appalled that this was allowed into the Steam platform for a game that takes no longer than a 10 minute playthrough to finish. Its insulting and should at the very least have been put as a free to play instead to showcase and test if they could make a quality game to the people who like playing this type of game genre. Its shameful that they expect people to pay money to play this, even for its price of 89p in UK currency. The English translation was atrocious for the few text pieces that were provided. The tension that was supposed to be provided in this game was completely obliterated by the in-game music deafening your ears. Whatever philosophical context this game was supposed to make a point of to impact on you as the player. well lets just say there wasn't enough of a game or storyline to make you emotionally invested. Not worth your time. Not worth your money. Please do not waste your time on getting this because it was definitely a waste of my 10 minutes playing it.2 found this helpful
My Bones, developed and published by GDNomaD, is a short atmospheric horror game that places players in the unsettling position of awakening within their own grave. The game opens with an immediately macabre premise—a man buried alongside his family suddenly regains consciousness, unsure of how or why he is still alive. From that moment, the player is tasked with exploring a desolate environment filled with decay, darkness, and hints of supernatural influence, uncovering fragments of memory that gradually reveal the circumstances behind his death. It is a story about guilt, redemption, and moral choice, framed through an interactive experience that relies far more on tone and atmosphere than on complex mechanics or storytelling depth. The core of My Bones lies in its oppressive ambiance and minimalistic design. As the player navigates through graveyards, crypts, and shadowed tunnels, the game builds a palpable sense of dread through lighting and sound rather than jump scares. The flickering torches, creaking gates, and hollow winds create a mood that is quietly unnerving rather than overtly terrifying. There is a haunting loneliness in its presentation—the environments are sparsel…1 found this helpful
