P. S. If you have difficulties in the walktrough, this guide will be very useful: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3561496240
The worst indie horror remaster in Steam history
What’s being called a “remaster” is more like a rework of the original 2015 version. Original “My Bones”: https://store.steampowered.com/app/389700/My_Bones/ The question is: did it actually get any better? If anything, just a tiny bit, and even by the author’s past project standards, this can hardly be called progress. This project doesn't deserve more than a thumbs down. They ported the game to Unity, for some reason added letterbox bars on the screen edges, and obviously you can't expect stable performance even on high settings. This "new" version added a dumb puzzle where you press gargoyles in sequence, which they don't explain properly, and instead of three keys that required some searching in the original, now there are just two, and finding them is super easy. The text in the new version is somewhat woven into the story, but that doesn't make its downright ridiculous plot any better. They cut out the dismembered corpses, leaving only skeletons and pentagr…4 found this helpful
If you want to read my original review on this game, then head on over to non-remastered form of this game. The only things of note to make of this one is: - It lessened my playtime from 10 minutes to 6 minutes as they cut out a segment of the game. - They obviously took on that their English translation was atrocious and actually got someone who was fluent in it to do the work this time for it. - There was a puzzle but was very simple in design and I got it on the first go. - Had a massive graphic overhaul but did really not much to improve on the game except to make it look pretty. Still asking for the same price and again I will say this: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!2 found this helpful
I just played the older part, which was really bad for my opinion, so i was expecting the same for this remastered version. But this game is was better. Its less confusing and even has a little puzzle in it. Its easier to understand and to play. All in one a pretty nice "minigame". I can recommend it2 found this helpful
Not worth it, even on sale. If you avoid this game, you won't miss anything valuable.2 found this helpful
My Bones Remastered is a short first-person horror experience developed and published by GDNomaD, serving as a rebuilt and technically improved version of the developer’s earlier project. Designed as a compact atmospheric vignette rather than a full-length horror campaign, the game places players in a bleak and unsettling scenario: you awaken inside a grave with no clear explanation, surrounded by darkness and the eerie stillness of a cemetery. From this premise, the experience unfolds as a quiet exploration of isolation, mortality, and mystery. The structure of the game is intentionally minimal. Players navigate small, enclosed environments—primarily a graveyard and its surrounding structures—while searching for keys, interacting with limited objects, and uncovering fragments of narrative context. There are light puzzle elements, though they remain straightforward and serve more as pacing devices than genuine challenges. There is no combat system or complex inventory management. Instead, progression depends on observation, slow movement, and environmental interaction. The game leans heavily into a walking simulator style, prioritizing mood and atmosphere over mechanical depth. V…1 found this helpful
