A pretty decent game for its price. If you've played Scanner Sombre, you'll probably like this one too. There are some bugs, but it's already playable. The puzzles and mechanics are interesting, I especially liked something similar to marble maze.5 found this helpful
I played this on the quest 2 and it ran great, and was a super fun puzzle game i do recommend considering its super cheap.5 found this helpful
Works on Reverb G2. Disclaimer: I've received this game for free via Curator Connect. Sense of Darkness is an adventure/exploration VR game inspired by Scanner Sombre. It is not nearly as good as the latter and ends with unavoidable game breaking bug. It is not a horrible game, but it lacks a direction. Scanner Sombre was fully focused on its lidar, it felt like there is a real place represented by the dots, and it made the game immersive even on flat screen. SoD, on the other hand, feels like a collection of random videogamey levels: from a crypt and an eastern house to some abstract tunnels and labyrinths. Steam game description and trailer imply that there is a deeper meaning behind it all, but in-game hidden scrolls, background scenes and AI generated images are completely incoherent. Environments lack details to be fun to explore, and most puzzles boil down to "find a hidden interactable item". It's not too bad, but not exciting either. And all of this ends with a bug that turns the screen completely black.3 found this helpful
As cool as the game seemed to be.. I sadly cant recommend it. I played it for around 2~ hours and somewhere around the time of being inside the house and needing to turn on the lights, i started feeling very motion sick, even a friend of mine who was watching me play it, claimed to feel sick of looking at the game. And its straight up broken and bugged too, the section where you walk up a tunnel, where a red bird flies above you, if you press the button to open a passage way behind you, the game ALWAYS freezes for me there and everything glitches out, you cant leave to the main menu.. its a permanent softlock and you cant continue with the game no matter what. Otherwise the game slowly reveals everything around you as you walk or touch things, you can change the color of your hands and draw on walls some lines made out of dots. You can sprint, walk, crouch, jump and even push objects with your hands, you get a few tools like bows or hammers through the game, climbing is a thing but game wise i wouldnt really recommend it since the ? chapter is bugged and i wasnt able to continue the game from there. So i just cant recommend it because of that, and if you do decide to buy it, the…2 found this helpful
Is a Scanner Senseless❔
Overall, this is a great game. I haven't gone too far in it yet. But I already like it. It's very much like Scanner game you are thinking of... but without a scanner. The dots just show up based on proximity and activity. Overall, such a cool way to use VR. I was surprised to see an actually REASONABLE priced game. 🔥►Meet SENSELESS people playing now (in group CHAT link below) 💬►Cool game that's as unique as 2 in a million. 🏆►VR Giveaways and CHAT 🏆 If you got more questions, or you just want to play some VR, stop by our steam group.
