Resorting to Danger is the second Nancy Drew Dossier game. It's a casual adventure game with hidden object elements. In this game, Nancy goes undercover to investigate a series of mysterious bombings at an exclusive spa. The gameplay in this one is pretty similar to that of its predecessor. You look for clues in a hand-drawn background and then pair them up to move on. You also solve small puzzles and play minigames. You get more points for doing well on the games and getting things right on the first try, and getting enough points lets you unlock different credits. This game is very linear and straightforward, but it is slightly more difficult than the previous game. The hidden object screens were a little less obvious and there were some slightly more complicated puzzles in the mix. It also gets rid of some of the more tedious puzzles, like the the timed hidden object screens. The story didn't really do it for me, and that mostly came down to the ending. Good game brings back nostaglia

I really like the art style in this game. Especially the animations in the cut scenes. They also added hints, which is a big improvement from the last Dossier game. As for the story, I think I like the last game's better. The only thing I don't like is the statue puzzle in the maze. Not only because I am not familiar with greek mythology, but also because it's a maze, so even if you are familiar with the paths, it's still really time consuming to walk from one end to the other

Good game series, but this one had all kinds of things that I didn't love. About halfway through there was a beeping noise that didn't stop for the rest of the game, including during minigames, so that was a sound glitch. The mini-games were OK at best, and while I was advised at the end of the game by one of the characters to do Arcade Mode, winning Arcade mode really did not give an achievement or anything. Furthermore, maximizing points in-game did not give the true ending as it did in the last game, and I felt like it took away from the motivation to maximize points. You also cannot go back to a scene either, you have to start the entire game over again if you miss it the first time. Speed diffuser is frankly impossible unless you are an intense speed gamer or you stop the clock in a way that feels like cheating. The whodonit side of everything was also a little easy in my opinion as well. I'm not saying skip this one, but out of all the games I've played up to now I would say this is among my least favorite. 3/10.

I played this as a young kid. It was more challenging as I believe the Dossier series was meant for a younger audience with the more whimsical art style. I wish this series wasn't cancelled and that it continued as I really like the art and the voice acting is pretty good. The puzzles easier difficulty makes a very chill game to play and go through quickly. The puzzle at the bunker still gets me a bit but no biggie. My favorite mini game is the face mask one. I will open the game just to play that in the arcade.
