The soundtracks and the V/O are excellent. Vol 1 has a pretty sparse V/O, but it is done well where it exists. Volume 1 has sort of iffy writing. The protagonist is unrealistically dorky yet has weird klepto tendencies. If you put the aside, it is a touching story nonetheless. Volume 2 is just astounding in all regards. It is superbly written and is very tender and tugs at your heart.
I found this game on Steam trying to look for something free that piqued my interest. After seeing the summary on the store page, I thought it was a really unique concept for a visual novel and I decided to give it a try. This game is truly heart-wrenching and made me cry multiple times. It was a bit slow at first, but I genuinely got invested in the story after a bit (which is difficult for me to accomplish nowadays), especially because it hits so close to home for me. The artwork is great in both games and the music is beautiful, it really sets the mood for this unfortunate tale of the inevitable. If you like emotional visual novels you will definitely enjoy this. I loved it so much I bought the 10th anniversary edition to replay the story and show to friends. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!!
