Necro Wars is a mid-range turn-based strategy game that aren't exactly difficult to play for someone who's a huge fan of turn-based games. The gameplay here includes several interesting, though not entirely unique, game mechanics that are designed to either help you or your opponent on the battlefield, such as height advantage, the weather, and terrain advantage, in addition to using the correct units to counter your enemies (unit type advantage). Units that are injured or half-dead can't possibly deal as much damage as a unit with full health, and I never thought something so simple could be so intriguing. There are also several generals for you to choose from - you can only bring one with you into combat. Different generals offer different perks and depending on your needs, you might want to bring the most suitable one. Of course, the game isn't all pre-designed levels with a fixed number of troops to order around. As you play, you'll unlock buildings like ba…6 found this helpful

Necro Wars is amazing little turn-based strategy indie game. Firstly game is easy to let you learn how to play but then, after few stages game is much more difficult and you really need to think how to beat your oponent. Progression in this game is great, you start with one hero to choose and one unit, but with every next stage you can unlock new units and heroes to play. If you are looking for easy to learn but actually very complex strategy game then Necro Wars is something for you.3 found this helpful
Haven't played a ton of the game, but i feel like this is a pretty big "what you see is what you get" kinda deal, and the recommendation is similarly easy. Do you like Advanced Wars? If yes, you will like Necro Wars. It's as simple as that. I actually want to get a positive review out there just because I think the game deserves it. Well worth the asking price, just to get some of this style of game on PC. Biggest complaints I would have to bring up is a lack of a map editor, which sin't really a huge deal but is something I think this genre really benefits from, and sometimes clicking on a unit that is standing on a mountain is a little awkward.2 found this helpful

I normally don't play a lot of turn-based strategy games but I definitely enjoy this one. It's very simple to learn and still offers a challenge. If you are new to turn-based strategy games this one is definitely a great starting place and I'm sure die-hard fans of the genre can also appreciate this game. If you are interested in some gameplay here is a link to my first let's play of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eex7vrgXZtM&t=29s
