Neko Ghost, Jump! is a game with a lot of potential. Despite being "Early Access" the game still suffers from some issues & bugs. Controls are way too tight for specific platforming sections along with everything feeling very mushed together. The story (if there is one) is one of the most confusing aspects as me and a friend watched in complete confusion over the opening cut-scene. I hope to change this review and give it a far more in-depth conclusion after a fair replay.7 found this helpful
For other game reviews, please follow us at What The Game?
Neko Ghost Jump is a 2D/3D platform/isometric action game with some ARPG type of combat built into it. The graphical style is low polygon with flat shading, with a cats and dogs theme. There is a starting back story involving a pack of dog pirates invading Nekoman's world in a sort of steampunk like ship from outer space. The theme of NGJ is purposely silly, and the player is controlling a heroic cat that is reminiscent of the cute Gizmo from Gremlins. The graphics in NGJ are nicely rendered, although maybe over saturated in color in some areas. The 2D/3D transitions are smooth and the animations are all clean. The sound and music are very well done; as well as any big-name developer could have done for this style of game. The options and controls are also very well designed and implemented. It is very simple to remap any of the controls, change volumes, or set graphics options. NGJ has a very professional design and feel to the way it was made. A lot of effort was put into making the game accessible, including casual play modes and an assist feature…2 found this helpful
This game gives my head a brainache.1 found this helpful
I don't know if it's just my game or is anybody else having this issue, the world boss of Fluffylands in the 3rd phase explodes, flies off the stages and dies leaving the fight completely softlocked and not being able to progress forward to Spaceylands, other than this little bug, it's a fun 2D/3D puzzle platformer that I've quite enjoyed1 found this helpful
Epic game host error stuff means the game is genuinely unplayable. Don't buy.
