The shounen EMT game to fill the void left by Trauma Team It plays a little more like if Wario Ware was time management (think Heart's Medicine) Maybe a patch short of complete

Neo Harbor Rescue Squad is a collection of medical microgames with triage multi-tasking management and visual novel scenes in between - if you're not a fan of hectic microgames, you might struggle to enjoy (or possibly complete) the game. ...If you are a fan, though, this is an enjoyable game! The microgames themselves have (almost) enough variety for the 8-ish hour playthrough, choosing the order you treat patients and whether you use shields or not is an interesting challenge, and the narrative gives the game more context. The story is straight-forward, though the main characters were sweet, and I did appreciate seeing the scrappy emergency services doing their best even when their efforts weren't appreciated. Then there's Neo Harbor itself, a lovely city brought to life by its varied locations - I wish I had more time to stop and enjoy the isometric rooms while I treated patients! I found the game as a whole relatively smooth to play through, not too difficult but with high scores to aim for. Playing made for a relaxing break, even when in narratively and mechanically tense situations. That changed for me in the final emergency, which spiked in both difficulty and length. T…

After going back and forth on what I thought of this game, I've settled on letting it pass. It gets a thumbs up, but not by much. While saying it's a mashup of WarioWare and Trauma Center is accurate, Neo Harbor Rescue Squad never really becomes as good as either game. It doesn't have the variety or the pure wackiness of WarioWare, and it doesn't have the intensity or creativity of Trauma Center. It feels like the game needed something more to push it over the top, maybe firefighter missions, or more detailed surgical operations, or simply more microgames in the mix. As is, I feel the game comes off as a little bland. The story follows suit, with character dynamics largely familiar to kids shows. The well-meaning, but goofy protagonist. The bossy, hot tempered redhead, the pompous rivals that everybody loves. The talking animal mascot. All the classic hits. That said, the plot twist near the end did manage to surprise me, so points for that. Also, I did like the background art for the different locations that you visit throughout the game. The game has a good presentation and functions without any additional configuration hurdles or hassles to deal with. Unfortunately the game…

I absolutely love this game. It makes me feel like i'm playing trauma center but with more lighthearted art. Pros: -good story line -cute art-fun minigames Cons: -repetitive music -lack of time to see what buttons you need to push I would definitely recommend this game!
Neo Harbor Rescue Squad!
It's even fun to say! I'll keep it short: This game is exciting, with an engaging story and the characters & dialogue are funny. Even though this game doesn't take itself too seriously (it's silly in the good kind of way), the visuals and sounds are nice and clean/polished/sharp/whatever words the kids are using these days. Rizzy presentation? That's it! It's got that rizz! If you think the Wario Ware-esque micro-games are going to stress you out, just realize that it's ok to fail some here and there because you'll definitely get the chance again to figure it out soon enough. Figuring these out fast is part of the experience. Also, pro tip:
it tells you what to do in the top left corner!

Extra Info

I played the 1st demo on PS5 when that was released and then bought it here on Steam on Day 1.
Works GREAT on my Steam Deck "right out of the box!"
I had one bug during one mini-game but quitting to title and continuing fixed the issue and I didn't lose any progress at all.
Buy this game! It's a good time!
