About Neon Abyss
Blast through procedurally-generated dungeons as a member of Hades' elite task force, combining fast-paced gunplay with roguelike progression where stacking random item effects creates wildly unique builds across each run. Unlock new content, hatch evolving pets, and break up the action with quirky mini-games that reward you for staying alive.
As you progress through each dungeon, random item drops will be key in helping you infiltrate the Abyss and these passive effects can stack between every item. With no limit to how many can apply; a wide variety of combinations will make each run unique.
With each run, you will be able to unlock new rooms, items, bosses, special rules and even new endings! This means each dungeon is unique and expandable, being tailored to your own specific playstyle.
Hatch and Evolve Pets

The gameplay is fine but after playing for 27 hours there's reasons I don't want to finish. Overall I enjoyed the game because I was using the character that can see descriptions, but as I don't even want to finish it because it's cons are so big and I couldn't find mods to fix them, I wouldn't recommend it to others. - You can't see what an item does unless you choose a specific character or collect a specific RNG item that gives the ability to see item descriptions. Playing a roguelike where you're forced to blindly choose between 2 item names (theres 500+ items) is insane game design. - There's no balance to the economy during a run. You're either constantly starved of gold or items or you got some RNG powerup that gives you far too much. The baseline amount of gold is not balanced to the cost of anything. EG: Clearing a room of enemies will give you 0-3 coins. up to about 7 coins. many doors are locked and require 1-2 keys. 1 key is 30 coins. So unless you get a key or gold enhancing powerup very early in the game you will miss so many powerups you are weaker for the whole 2nd half.1 found this helpful
super gulcthie.
Honestly disappointing for a shooter rougelike, achievements are also very braindead, if I am able to get all other achievements before dying 99 times then "dying 99 times" just should not be an achievement same goes for enter 999 times, 3/10
a roguelite with a skill tree is a very fun and interesting concept
An incredibly fun roguelike that seems to have a pretty solid identity that I like. while some aspects of it could probably use some work/more content, what's there is already enough to really sink my teeth into. solid 6/10
me pick up gun. me shoot gun. me die. me do it all over again.
