Neuroarena: Black Duel Master

Game seems to have a loading error as it hits 90% then just gets stuck. For now it's a no but if I can play I will write a new review for this.

It's not free, it's riddled with toxic mobile app microtransactions in the nasty real money cash shop that's integrated into every aspect of this shallow garbage. same as other reviewers: its stuck at 90%, i can't even play it. Will try again later, maybe a few times. Its a shame because i was intrigued, would really like to get in and try it out. edit: no i have tried it every now and then and still can't log in, stuck at 90%. I don't understand it, a game was released that cannot be played...who is winning from this? Either way i am moving on to other games.

I got a fire-breathing dragon with moss instead of a skin! And a fierce pink fur orc. It's maddening. But it's very cool.

Ok so unlike others, I can play this no issues. It's essentially a Card upgrade and 'battle' game. There are no stats or anything to control beyond entering battles and upgrading cards. the battles are essentially a voting system, where you have to wait like 5 minutes for votes to be cast on which of 2 cards are 'the cutest' 'the scariest' 'the most popular' etc. The card visuals appear to be AI generated and you can apply modifications to your cards when you upgrade them which will alter the output. For example if I add glasses to an upgrade, the new output will add glasses. The mods are interesting and varied. overall, this is a cute little time waster but aside from casting votes yourself and waiting for battles to be over to collect your rewards (which you need to upgrade your cards) there's nothing really to do. This would have made a perfect mobile game and looks to have been built for mobile looking at the UI, although I can't find it in the apple store. Its a pick up for 2 mins, put down for half an hour kinda vibe. Other point to note, I don't think the votes are real (as there doesn't seem to be a player base here on Steam) so who else is voting?
