About Nightwalker 2

Nightwalker 2 is a horror adventure game that tells the story of Nightwalker and Sally's most memorable adventure. In search for a treasure mentioned in a local legend, the two find themselves deep in more than what they have bargained for. Events that separate them will push the Nightwalker to his limits as he needs to do more than before to survive and reunite with Sally.

You play as the Nightwalker once again while trying to uncover the mysteries that surround the lost village. The new crafting feature will help you on your path of solving puzzles, getting over obstacles and surviving. Aside from the main story, Nightwalker 2 features 4 different side quests that enhance your exploration experience in the game.

The cinematic experience supported with cutscenes is making the adventure more immersive than before. In addition, Nightwalker 2 is hosting much more and versatile horror elements that you will get exactly what you want if you want to feel the suspense and be disturbed.

Right after the two set foot in the lost village, they soon discover that there is something sinister going on. But before they find the chance to work together, Nightwalker and Sally get separated due to some supernatural events. After that, Nightwalker's attempts to find Sally will only get him deeper in the mysteries of the lost village.

There are 4 different side quests in Nightwalker 2. One of them is focusing on a specific mystery about the village. It is hosting a series of events that are not connected to the progress of the main story. Two of the other side quests focus on the exploration. They reward the player with some upgrades to Nightwalker's equipment. Lastly, one of the side quests is for the collectible lovers.

Crafting and combat is hand in hand in Nightwalker 2. Unlike the previous game, you will be able to defend yourself and get in combat using small rocks. Crafting system will let you enhance the power of your throwable rocks with the use of fabric, fuel and glass shards to deal more damage. Not only that, in order to solve some of the puzzles and skip some of the obstacles, you need specific types of crafted rocks. So, exploration is a huge part of the game as you need supplies for crafting.

You will encounter puzzles during your adventure in and around the village. While some are necessary to progress in the story, most of them are a part of the exploration.

I'm reviewing this from point of view of the $0.99 sale-price that I got this. For under a dollar, this is a great little exploration game with creature dodging and killing in an unsettling, abandoned village. The creatures are a bit weak in the animation sense, the voice acting is mostly decent, the story is somewhat bland, and the exploration is very linear: you can only go and explore where the dev wants you to. Encounter a two foot high barrier across the bottom of a door? You cannot step over it, it's just off limits. You can't fall off of cliffs or climb on many things. Stuff like that. If I had paid the full $9.99, I would have given this a negative review for the above-mentioned reasons. BUT...for a $1 game, it is more than solid enough and worth that price for the atmosphere alone, as the game nails the atmosphere-angle. I'd place this at a $4.99 price-point to be acceptable, but not $9.99. The sale price of a dollar is actually a really good deal.

This game is better than most no-budget indie horror games of its ilk. The dev is good at creating atmosphere and there's a logic to the puzzle element that makes sense. I also kind of enjoyed the combat, though it was frustrating. You can throw rocks and use crafting to create glass rocks and burning rocks. The story has a point where it's supposed to end but then it sort of keeps going... for no reason. The last portions of the game are pretty hard and it gets increasingly nonsensical, then just sort of ends But for a game I paid $0.50 for I had fun with this for a few hours.

Nightwalker 2, developed by Useless Machines and published by SA Industry, is a first-person horror adventure that expands on the foundation of its predecessor by introducing additional survival elements, crafting mechanics, and optional side content. Set in an abandoned and mysterious village, the game places players in the role of Nightwalker, who, along with his companion Sally, travels in search of rumored treasure. What begins as a straightforward expedition quickly descends into psychological horror as supernatural forces intervene and separate the pair, forcing Nightwalker to confront the unsettling secrets hidden within the desolate settlement. The game’s strength lies primarily in its atmosphere. From the outset, the village feels isolated and unnerving, with environmental storytelling playing a significant role in shaping the narrative. Dilapidated buildings, scattered notes, eerie lighting, and subtle audio cues all contribute to a creeping sense of dread. Rather than relying heavily on constant jump scares, Nightwalker 2 leans into tension built through pacing and uncertainty. Players are encouraged to explore cautiously, as the environment itself becomes a storytellin…

Texture detailing is very well drawn, realistic graphics. You walk here alone, silence, wilderness and there is no one and there has never been around. You come out of a house you don't know (I collected a towel in it) and then a girl screams. Well, I had towels with which I wiped my misunderstanding. Let's go further.... in search of the last letter 3/4 I have crafted stones with glass and burning stones and the game is slowly turning into a zombie apocalypse. Night came and the murazhki covered me from the darkness and the sound of fear catching up with intrigue. As a result, I saw an alien, he noticed me and ran into the house. Disappeared from sight and suddenly appeared before my eyes. My screams, the screams of my daughters were heard by the whole house. My wife also started screaming- only at us, from the fact that we play such games :D I put 10 out of 10 thrown stones of fear, in my direction. I advise you to purchase. I like to piss off the purchased goods, especially at a discount After all, horror is something unusual in our environment. (it's not as scary in Java as in games)

Pretty good horror. The atmosphere definitely adds to the game. The graphics are very beautiful. Surprised that there is even a plot, usually in an indie game is a rarity.
