My first thought when I saw this game was Sub-Terrania on the Sega Genesis. Underground, space ship, gravity mechanics, fighting space aliens, and there were even upgrades to collect along the way. Now I'm gonna have to go back and listen to that OST again, so thank you for that. Admittedly, when I saw the Metroidvania tag on the game, I was expecting it to be one connected adventure, so I was a bit confused that the game runs stage by stage without direct connections between levels. But honestly, I'm not bothered by that at all, I'm still loving the return of a type of physics-centered gameplay you don't get very often in 2D. Game's good, feels fun, and you can race on the leaderboards to brag to your friends, so I'm not gonna complain.

Here's my rapid fire review for the game! https://youtube.com/shorts/qRSca2ynOx8 In short, I loved it. Very creative throwback to the good old days. This eerie charming world that both includes speedrun like stages as well as massive sprawling metroidvania like levels a boss to take down. It is a challenging but fair game with tons of tools in its toolbelt to squeek out wins in any and all situations. If you're a fan of physics based navigational action adventure type games, sprinkled with some puzzle elements, You'll be right at home here!

This game made me rage quit 17 times, I died over 800 times in the 30 hours it took me to beat it. It was soo much fun and hella rewarding when I finally finished it. Do not skip collectibles.

This game keeps me coming back for more and as a casual gamer it suits me well, it reminds me of those lunar lander type games we used to have on the gameboy and I haven't really seen anything like it recently. Each section of each level gives its own unique challenge and it really feels like a realistic take on what the storyline sets out for in trying to escape an underground maze in a makeshift rocket ship. Some of the challenges are difficult and some I have yet to get myself co-ordianted enough for (those towers you need to charge up), but most of the 'completionist' type puzzles like this which are difficult can be bypassed as long as you can make it to the end of each level. You can easily come back later to find and complete the little bits you've missed. I am enjoying trying to make it through each level and come up with strategies to survive the various situations you encounter. This game is all about mastering the controls of the ship, knowing which direction is up even when gravity is reversed or your engines get disabled, and the physics of the various tools you pickup along your journey to counter the hostile environment you face on the path to freedom! The physi…

The only and single reason why I don't recommend this game because the actual game is NOT AT ALL what you would expect from a game that is using this thruster/gravity combination. So anyone like me who tought this is like the others that uses such movement WILL be dissapointed the same way. For anyone else, this is a platformer trough and trough, except instead of airdash, double jump and all that common in platformers, you have the gravity/thruster combo, and a variety of abilities to manipulate your movements to do cool manuvers and hit time scores with the leader board literally in your face. The metroidvania aspect is there. You get new stuff, upgrade some to achive more efficiency and get to places you couldn't before by going back to maps you been before. The movement of the truster/gravity, the camera, the "allowance" of knocking the wall ALL perfect, even running out of fuel gives you a level of control, you might desire. The abilities are all well defined and multipling the gameplay, really cool (if you into that). A very good time attack platformer. Graphics, UI design, asthetic, sound everything is really really good, and well tought trough, except one thing. As a h…

At first I liked the challenge of this game, but the longer I played it, the more frustrated I became. It's fun to have challenges, but this game is so unforgiving that it makes me wonder what the dev was thinking when making it. Any micro-corrections in the controls lead to a loss of control of the spacecraft and a loss of time. That's fine; you can correct, but one of the core mechanics is you race these sparks around tight corners to upgrade the craft or unlock an ability. First, if you overshoot or tap a wall, it spins you out of control; this is on normal difficulty. The second maddening mechanic is areas of wind; it blows you back during the racing. Any movement too slow or not upgraded, and you get stopped, restarting the whole process. To make matters worse, even if you outrace the spark, it punishes you for not landing at the end before the spark reaches the platform. After trying to obtain one ability in the first main dungeon more than 60 times, I stopped playing—not because of my skill, but due to the game's lack of forgiveness. I played the Dark Souls and Up series of games, beating them; this game is by far much more rage-inducing and minimally rewarding. It's like…
