Have you ever asked yourself: what if a cat has a jetpack and goes on an adventure? Well, probably not, but here we are anyway 😗. Make your way down a dark and dangerous land full of menacing creatures that can and definitely will hurt you. Destroy these creatures, earn tokens, die, and...do it all over again because this game is a roguelike 😌. But hey, don't fret. Your earned tokens can be used to permanently unlock customization for our lovely cat so that the next time you die, you will at least die in style 😅.
Multi-purposed Jetpack: A movement utility? A weapon? How about both? Use the jetpack wisely to battle against these creatures or run away from them, your choice: fight or flight.
Unique Customization: You can unlock customization skins inspired by some of pop culture's most famous (or infamous) cats. Who are they? You'll have to find out.
Boss Fights and Secrets: As you venture deeper and deeper into the unknown land, more, let's say, curious creatures will stand in your way. Use the experience you've gained to defeat them ✊.

Nine Lives Or Less is a Unity based 2D retro pixel "platformer" which a minor twist, it's a "faller" game instead where you must jump as low as you can. Keeping in faith with the title, you have 9 lives, which erode very quickly due to the various hazards you must avoid while jumping/falling downwards to get to the bottom of each procedurally generated level. Given the samey levels, poor art and lacklustre gameplay you'll be wondering why you bothered in no time at all. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to properly customise the graphics settings, although there is a resolution option, this just changes the scaling of the static pixel "art" and makes everything look different degrees of blurry... it's unclear if whoever made this understood the very nature of display resolution as a concept.
